If she started skating like that earlier in the series, she would of been in with a GREAT chance of winning i think!

She proved she could skate but I don't think she was good enough to win (I vote for her also)

Not sure about winning but she did prove that if only she'd faced her fears of solo skating head on she could have gone at least one or two stage sfurther.

I think she should be proud of herself. There will always be haters out there who try to deny the fact that she skated solo both last week and this week, but those people will always be telling lies. She tried her best, was determined to skate on her own, and she succeeded. Top five is also a very good achievement for someone who was at the bottom of the leaderboard a few weeks ago.

So you do admit that she did when she was on the show then, interesting.

Someone called her a trollop on here earlier, totally out of order.

It was definitely her time to go, but no one deserves that kind of name calling.

Telling lies - that made me laugh. When is someone giving their opinion telling lies? Just because they don't agree with your views doesn't make them liars. I'm not a Samia hater and as far as I know most of the people who slated Samia were slating her skating, or rather lack of it. If you call plonking your feet down on the ice skating then she could skate!

In my opinion she wasn't plonking her feet - she was skating.

What I said about telling lies - that was to the people who said "what solo skating?" "I didn't see any" when there was (factual) solo skating.

Very very little solo skating. But really she looked nice tonight made nice lines as usual, skate smoothly but I watched her feet and she very often plonked them onto the ice; once on the ice she moved along smoothly, but she really did plonk them down.

When what they state as their opinion is false and they must have known it was false.

I really liked her save me skate - very much an ice dance style performance with some authentic samba movements in there. The samba rolls in particular were nice

yes, each time her solo skate consisted of the same brief rather weak/shakey, slow step sequence

it was week 2 level that others had been doing from the start

You mean false because they said 'what solo skating?'. Really someone counted tonight and she did 8 steps solo so I think questioning 'what solo skating' isn't really being false.

A trollop is defined as a woman who is perceived as sexually disreputable or promiscuous. Allegedly having an affair whilst in a relationship and with somebody who is in a relationship will for many people fall within the bounds of that definition.

I love the excuses people are using for Samia not solo skating.

"Plonking her feet" "week 2 level" "very little"

She still solo skated, I'm sorry, but you can't take that away from her.

But in the week where she does some solo skating, she barely uses the prop, which is the whole point of prop week!

That's not the point in this thread This is about the people who say she didn't do any solo skating.

I think she used the prop as much as she needed to, and the airplane lift was fantastic (imo)

She did solo skate, but she was miles and miles behind everyone else (even Luke, Keith and Joe) in standard.

Last night was her best effort at solo skating and she did about 7 seconds of backward skating which was slow, though admittedly fairly smooth. She did no mohawks, about one 3 turn, barely any crossovers - and these are basic, basic skating moves.

So, yeah, she showed she can solo skate, but she still wasn't very good at it. At this level in the series you would be expecting 2 footed spins, spirals, mohawks, unassisted drag, a very simple 3 jump, jeezo - even bunny hops!!!! - mimimum!
