I cannot warm to Luke

I tend to find Luck quite cocky and arrogant which is really off putting.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same?

I feel the same. IMO tonight he should have gone and Samia should have stayed, I thought even though he is more accomplished, Samia's performance had more of a spark.

True and I feel that Samia's routine was much better than is.

I quite liked him at the start but went off him as soon as he started answering back to the judges.

imo, Jeff Brazier proved that wasn't a great strategy and won't endear you to the public..

The only person that I condone answering back to the judges was Will Young.

This is at the very least a duplicate thread.

Yes it's easy when you are carried around.

Not sure I like him much either. It doesn't bother me either way if and when people talk back to the judges, it's just his 'personality' that grates a bit. I wouldn't mind if the attitude was backed up in any way with some decent skating at this stage.

And before anyone says it, no I couldn't do anywhere near as well as Luke, it's just that he's nowhere near the standard the others have reached and I find he's still quite wooden.

I can only think people are just voting for him cos he's an olympic champion.

Yes it was. I don't like Luke's attitude but he was much better yesterday.

I really like watching Luke sticking up for himself. Luke is one of my favourites.
Jason is a nasty piece of work with clear favourites. It annoyed me when Beth just stood there grinning as he insulted her. I like Beth but I wish she would answer Jason back.

I agree. Sick of these judging panels that act like gods gift and dare anyone for answering back or saying how they feel. Yes Luke is a bit cocky but then hes a young boxer filled with testosterone so hes not going to be shy and speechless. Most people were angry last week that Keith went over Samia so the judges with all their expertise and knowledge arn`t always right in the eyes of the audience.

Luke made quite a breakthrough this week in that he did actually perform during both his routines pretty well - as demonstrated by the fact he got a higher mark from Jason than Beth did. So I don't think Jason is playing favourites at all, unless it's to try to do Beth down in favour of Matt and Gareth.

I'm happier about him still being in on the strength of that performance than I would have been even two or three weeks back. If I could swap Luke for anyone at this point it would be Oona - who never really showed her full potential - but I'm glad that he's at least fulfilled what promise he had.

I agree with you. Even though he was "better" this past week i still find him cocky & arrogant on the whole.

How is saying that he'd like to see a "couple" of judges doing a whatever sticking up for himself?

It's not, it's just being arrogant. he doesn't take criticism well, but most of the times it's been justified.

If Jason is a nasty piece of work with favs why did he mark Luke so high this week? Because it was his first decent week meriting such a mark and comments that's why.

Where would that have got her? probably landed in the bottom 2 as has generally happened when people have answered Jason back. The public can be funny that way and see that as a cardinal sin and therefore not vote for someone.

I think the only reason Luke got away with it at the time was perhaps people didn't pick up on it at the time I didn't until I watched the clips back on This Morning. I guess Beth doesn't feel the need to flaunt an argumentative side in public and I don't think that is her nature anyway.

Dan always seems to try to get his partners to take on board what the judges say so he will probably advised that it isn't the wisest move to start backchatting the judges especially not if you land up in the skate off as IMO if you have backchatted them in the main show then it doesn't matter how well you do your save me skate they will potentially vote against you. Had Luke been in the skate off the week before would Jason have saved him then? or Ashley? given his comment seemed directed at both of them.

I don't object to people standing up for themselves but IMO the way Luke did it was more like a spoilt petulant child rather than someone trying to stand up for themselves in the face of unfair criticism.

Yes, me too, she should have told him what for but then she has learnt to accept criticism even if it is misplaced in this case.
