I know this is a controversial opinion, as loads of people can't stand Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep, but I think this band were quite good as they had a good looking girl singer and their melodies were sweet. Soley Soley is a lovely song and Sally Carr has quite a strong voice. Also they were the first Scottish group to really make an impact.

I thought they were quite good, too. They were huge in Germany, & had
5 Top 2 Hits there. But, their biggest Global Hit was a No.2 Hit there, in
1971 - 'Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep'. It was No.2 for 11 Weeks - unable
to displace 'Butterfly', by Danyel Gerard, which was No.1 for 15 Weeks.
In the UK, the Middle Of The Road Hit was a 5 Week No.1, & 'Butterfly'
only got to No.11.

I like their 'Soley Soley' Hit best. It should have got higher than No.5,
here in the UK.

They're still around and touring...in Europe a lot. A good friend of mine plays guitar with them.

I like the drummer, who sometimes wear a Scottish hat, shouts a lot during Tweedle Dum Tweedle Dee and looks a bit like Billy Bailey.

I love Soley Soley and whoever invented Hot Pants must have had Sally Carr in mind.

Yes, quite revealing, but they were popular at the time.

Marmalade had bigger hits a few years earlier.

I used to play Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep on my mum and dad's old Dansette when I was a little kid.

true... marmalade were bigger, had more hits over a longer period (but not as big as chirpy...) and quite frankly were better!

'reflections of my life' was a superb track.
