Could be a real beneficial for those who have communication issues and need help with getting up and perform, like me.

But it is it that different? Harry Styles (from 1D) Mum entered him and Matt Cardle was entered by a friend

I saw it on an advert. I have a feeling this is the last X Factor, although they would be better off ending it in 2014, to mark ten years.

Both of them were scouted by Syco.

Surely if they're apprehensive about going on the show, it won't count for sh1t whether they applied themself of a friend did it?

There was talent this year if you hadn't noticed. Love to see you sing like Ella dear.

So they can keep on stealing American Idol's ideas ? American Idol innovates and X Factor copies. It's like Nintendo and Sony all over again.

that's a great idea to take take some of the stigma off i think... this unsavoury idea *founded or unfounded* of contestants mainly fame hungry wannabes...

now they can actually say it was literally their mum/ friend/ colleague/ neighbour/ classmate/ dog who applied for them.

Hmm, to me, American Idol's approach was a complete rip off of The Voice so they were hardly innovative themselves.

Well if they're not confident to audition for themselves, it doesn't auger well for them performing in public and on tv etc does it?

Thats what I'm thinking..
If theyre entered by someone else fair enough, but I bet we'll still end up with whats gone before with many of them being watched by Syco, they know who they are so its a calculated move on the part of producers and contestants.

I personally think it's a terrible idea. You could end up with loads of people who can hold a tune in karaoke but look like a stuffed scarecrow on stage. Stage presence is something that comes from within when that person has the inner need to 'perform'. Being a good singer alone is not enough I'm afraid.

There will be a page on the website when X-Factor auditions start.

I guess
