Here we go, the best part of the sporting calander (imo ) starts this week.

First up, World Juniors (which I think us 21 and under, hardly "junior"!) which is from Socci, so a great chance to see how the ice is shaping up for the big O.SCO represented by Scottish runners-up Fleming (W) and K Smith (M).
Games here http://www.youtube.com/WorldCurlingTV
Website http://wjcc2013.curlingevents.com/

Then the Women's, with SCO (should it now be GBR with under a year to the Olympics??) well represented by Queen Evie, and a touch later the Men's and SCO/GB interest will be Scottish Champions the Murdster rink. So, no confusion there, then.

Enjoy!

Not that I'm biased in any way but I think I'm going to enjoy the commentary on the juniors

The commentary team had been noted in these towers...

Good start.

Hannah and the girls beat USA 9-7 and the TV coverage is excellent

Routine victory for the Scottish men against China :-

They were 6-1 down after six ends then 6-2 after seven with China having the hammer and yet managed to steal five in the last three ends and won 7-6

Canada v Scotland in the women's just now.
Bit of a stalemate so far, 1-1 at the halfway.

I got online just in time to see the end of her interview; judging by her smile Hannah Fleming scored another victory!

Also noticed who the Canadians are sending to the Womens Worlds; Rachel Homan, who I'm not familiar with. So no Jennifer Jones or Nedohin or Holland, and no Norberg from Sweden; this years Championship seems wide open.

Victories for both of the Scottish rinks this morning. The men are now 3/3 and the women 4/4

Well done to both teams!

Actually had my first shot at curling this morning, a friend took me along to the local rink to show me the game. Really enjoyed it, lots of fun and no falls or anything. Hoping to keep going with it and improve

Whoever they send, their hair will be immaculate.

Very impressed by Scotland (3 and 3) and Scotland (4 and 4), and the web coverage which is, as near as dammit, HD!

Trouble is if the camera moves quickly I get momentarily loss of focus. Is it them, or my laptop, or because I'm feeding it to the TV? Never mind, it's much clearer than Eurosport player - I think we've found the way to go.

I always thought the feed was from the local broadcaster, but according to Bob (of Skip Cottage Curling) it's done in-house by the WCF and it's been faultless so far. Of course, anything which involves Sara will be faultless.

Looking forward to some great games tomorrow and there are full-games on catch-up on their website (youtube?).

10am Monday and they both lie 5 and 5, top of their groups. Althougn v Cze Hannah had a little wobble at the end, losing a steal of two in the 10th to go to the extra end. Won through though!

If you click on the game (in progress or finished) you can follow the stone-by-stone graphic. Unfortunately it doesn't fill the page which is a bit of a downer

I hadn't noticed till you mentioned it, but yeah it does. Still can't complain about the coverage although a commentary box webcam would be nice

Yet another victory for the women 6/6

Live streaming of the men Sco v Rus this afternoon at 3.

Typical, first time we see the men and they lose. Good game though.

The table's tight now with Sco on 5 wins then Can, Nor, Rus and Swe all on 4.

Enjoyed the game; pity they couldn't score in the 8th end. I hope they're not getting fined for swearing or they'll be going home bankrupt! Embarrassing poor Sara with all that audible bad language

I had to have the volume turned right down so I wasn't sure but I thought I'd heard them drop the F-bomb

Bloody rubbish, Scotland

It's been outstanding so far, and if you go throughout the whole group unbeaten there's always the worry that the odds/laws of averages mean you lose one - the final!! So hoping for a women's defeat before it's too late

BTW having a webcam in the commentary box - depends on whom it's facing (Sorry, Sander)

Actually, Laola1 goes out and interviews the players after the game, has that been happening here? If not it would be nice to have a chat with the winning skip.

Yes, or at least they try too; it seems a bit hit and miss as to whether they have all the right connections plugged in. They interviewed Hannah Fleming after her win over Canada and Sara was trying to interview the Russian coach this afternoon ( I left the feed before they managed to get it together).

Thanks for the info - sometimes they put up short highlights and interviews seperately, but I haven't found the interviews. I'm really glad they are giving us full match coverage, but it's a nightmare trying to navigate to find what you want; especially full games when you don't want to know the score or even the length of the game!
We need a single page which points to live action; recorded action; recorded highlights and interviews - would make life a lot easier!

Sorry to disappoint you but they've only gone and won again

Never in doubt but that's the play-offs guaranteed.

Another Scottish thumping, and they are certain of the 1 - 2 playoff! It's going too well, this....

You got your wish Jap 8 Sco 6 So that's got the defeat out of the way

The men have finished the round robin off by beating the USA. So page 1-2 game is Scotland against Canada and the 3-4 game is Rus against Swe.
