He had an affair with Brigitte Bardot back in the late 50s that apparantly ended when he refused her proposal that they should get married !

How many guys have turned down Brigitte ?
He was also mentioned in Peter Sarsted song....... 'Where do you go to my lovely' ......... which makes me think the song was all about Brigitte .

This man was so good looking he made men wet (Red Dwarf joke, not mine) and was a fine singer. The question of "How many guys have turned down Brigitte?", I had to turn her down as she wanted me to get rid of my collection of cast iron manhole covers which I had just got sorted in date order. Plus her demands on my time meant I could not get to all the meetings of the "Friends of Street Furniture" and "Ear Trumpet Appreciation group".

Brigitte was born in Paris and in the same week down in Rome, Sophia Loren was born ( not many people know that ! )

I liked his weekly TV show in the 1970's that I think was on the BBC or ITV.
