On the skating so far Beth , then Matt though I can't warm to him and then Gareth who I do like though he's not quite up to the standard of the other 2

Obviously Matt is the chosen one but like any reality show, lots of people can't use their own eyes and get led by the judges into what they want them to beleve.
I work in skating and dance at an amateur level and Matt is absolutely not the best skater, Beth is the best technical skater and Gareth is the most improved. Matt came in as a "skater performer" and has stayed there.

Just hope he isn't actually reading this as no doubt it will make his head swell even more and boost his already large ego which doesn't need anymore encourgement IMO he already thinks he is the next big thing.

keep living in your dream world no celeb is superior to anyone and certainly not someone that was in a soap for a little while and then got axed from it.I truly hope he doesn't win as he is already far too sure of himself even trying to use his nan as a promotional tool
and not in a way that was actually convincing other than to try and generate votes and IMO hasn't actually progressed from where he started whereas others i.e Gareth have actually improved and grown rather than throwing a tantrum because the bad scary public didn't vote for them one week and is therefore being cossested by the judges when he hasn't actually improved what they have told him too and is getting away with it whereas others get torn to shreds for it. Just seems to be a little bit too biased towards Matt so would rather someone else won preferably Beth but guess could settle for Gareth.

I'm on about in the context of the show really. I feel like Matt's been pretty consistent and is much better than any of them left or throughout the whole show. He deserves to win.

IMO he is not superior even in the context of the show if he was then he would have been top of the leaderboard every single week and he hasn't been both Beth and Gareth have had the top spot ahead of him.
Also as for consistency yeah but then he hasn't actually grown or progressed like the others have, Beth has tackled trying to learn to perform as has Gareth and he has tackled the other issues the judges have raised with him
Matt with perhaps the exception of his ballet one has come out and pretty much done the same thing week after week and while good he has not IMO improved dramatically enough to deserve winning he came in at a good standard and stayed there whereas others came in less good and have worked harder to improve and not rested on their laurels which to me is more what DOI is about not having someone instantly good who then automatically wins it.
I can't understand why none of the judges have called Matt out on his rather ungainly skating posture

I know its like they have some form of blinkers on where he is concerned and I am very surprised that it is continually ignored as is the fact that mistakes are being made which Robin stated with Luke but still gave him an 8 and Matt admitting he made a mistake in front of the judges and thought he would drop the hat and got 9 again its like it just didn't happen. I'm beginning to think I'm watching a parrallel show to the judges this year.

It just adds to the perfectness really. And yeah, I find him extremely likeable. Sure he's fairly confident but that's a good thing and it makes his dances more full of life and memorable.

Well obviously everybody is going to have a different opinion on what is the best or their favourite; just like any other show. If they didn't then it'd be pretty boring, too. I've been impressed with him each week and I really feel like he deserves the win. He admittedly probably has been the best since day one, and I do like to see the progression stages as they go along but I do think Matt has improved. He always comes out and does his best and entertains me which is important aswell in a show like this and this is where the others lose out; I'm not interested or excited enough by them to want to watch them perform.
