Handcent SMS and delivery reports
I just switched to Three (PAYG) and I had delivery reports ticked as I completely forgot that Three charge for them. Now there is a second option in Handcent, delivery reports by Handcent. Does anyone know how this is supposed to work? I don't seem to get any kind of icon saying delivered or unsuccessful, even though the message has arrived and I received a reply.
Another thing is, will Three deduct the money the next time I top up? It will only be 20p or something like that, but will be good to know. |

Handcent and Go SMS are just full of bloatware these days - I don't use them for this reason. Also Go SMS has started sending out loads of advert messages - really annoying.
If you want a really simply SMS app try Chomp SMS! It's really simple and straight forward. It has delivery reports too under Client Carrier in the Settings menu. ![]() https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...chompsms&hl=en Go for it. |

Thanks for the advice. But that's exactly the same problem again, I would get charged by Three for delivery reports. That's why I was wondering how the delivery report generated by Handcent works. It's two separate settings in Handcent, one delivery report by carrier, one by Handcent.

I hope this link works
http://ask3.three.co.uk/srvs/cgi-bin...ile:mobileUser I had to do a credit card check to get the adult content filter removed (where they add 99p to your account) and my credit is down to 94p, so they do charge. |

Well, I'm on PAYG too and was thinking the same. But then I thought maybe they take it off when you top up the next time?!
At least they definitely do charge if you are in credit and then make use of delivery reports. |

Nope, this doesn't happen. Been with them a while now and never had to top up more than my usual amount, and I use delivery reports all the time.
