Congratulations Team Sterling, you spent the least and therefore won this week's task. You may return to the house thread.

Could Team Mercury please make their way to the losers cafe thread.

That was the point of the task. The team with the lowest total won. Was I wrong?

Well done Team Sterling!!!!! ”

Taxes weren't to be included.

Ah right ok! Just wanted to be honest. We would have won anyway I think.

Boardroom will continue at 8.45pm. This is to allow Team Mercury time to discuss the loss of this task.

It seems like part of the loss of this task is down to not reading the brief. Someone explain to me...

We were supposed to find links to the items, as quickly as we could and as cheaply as we could, as the team that spent the least would win. I understood that, I thought it was clear.

You obviously didn't read the brief then.

There wasn't much structure or plan as to how this task would be tackled. Most of the PMs were sent within a few hours of the task announcement, whether as the other team was still sending PMs this afternoon. Perhaps you were too hasty?

Because it was so confusing i did read the brief it was to confusing to understand

if yyou had put "and the lowest priced items win" at the end i would have understood

Is JJ even here to defend himself? He is in no way safe.

Perhaps, but at the time I thought it was quite likely that Team Sterling would find the same links as us, and I wanted to secure ours as quickly as we could in case they got in before us and we had to use all our second choices. Maybe I was wrong; if I was I hold my hands up.

Saying "the highest priced items lose" is just the opposite of that, which is what I said in the brief.

Make the breifs more clear in Paragraphs next time please

There were a few items where you spent just over what Mercury spent, but the most appalling difference is the flight. You really didn't do much searching for that did you?

There is a lot of information to get into the brief. If I "make it complicated", as you put it, most questions that candidates will ask about the brief are answered.

JJ was the one who was responsible for the flight, but the links he sent us were inappropriate. One of them was economy class, and one of them just took me to a 'fill in your flight' form. I asked him to send me more links and he didn't respond, so Emma took over that one - and as we now know, Emma didn't understand the rules, which is probably where our failure lies.

it was JJs job to do the flight not mine so i just did a quick search and the one i found was the only one which let me keep the link without deleteing all the stuff

also we ARE mercury

If I were you I would focus on saving my butt rather than spotting mistakes in someone's post.
