Hmm, perhaps you're right. Hoodie then.

Okay, so I think we've got our products sorted. What about our logo? I was thinking something quite small, but distinctive, that we can have on a sleeve, almost like a badge. Maybe a small circle of black with our name and some kind of picture?
Are we having ethi go go and our name? I've got something in mind for our logo but how do I share something I've done on paint?

Actually I've done a logo for Ethi go. However, it's not great but you can tell me what you think once I know how to share it!!

To be honest, I have absolutely no idea how to share it! Can you ask Lord Stuart?

I quite like it actually... it's not perfect, but it's a good start. I like the way 'Ethi' is in front; I think that bit is perfect. The 'GO' behind I think we should change a bit, as at the moment I think it looks a little primary school. I like the colour and the positioning, but I think it should be a bit more elegant, because at the moment it's a bit crude. But on the whole, I think you've done a good job. Thanks.

How is it crude? I agree I should maybe change the go bit.

The word 'GO' is drawn quite shakily, and at the moment it doesn't quite look like a professional logo. But it's definitely getting there.

I know. It's hard on Paint but surely Lord Stuart would know it would look a lot more professional than that.

Yeah, I understand how it could be difficult actually. If that's the best you can do, then leave it because it's close enough to what I imagine it to be. Where can you envision that logo, on one sleeve perhaps? I don't want it to be too big and to cover the whole garment, just a small logo in a distinctive place where people will see it to show the brand.

Are you able to create an image of all the products we have chosen with the logo attached? Plus, we need a floor plan of our shop... if you work on those, I'll do pricing and the pitch if you like.

I'm not sure how to do the floor plan. Could you do it and then we could work on the pricing together? Do you mean draw the images on paint?

Sorry, I didn't actually mean the floor plan, I meant the store layout:

'You must also create a virtual store layout (also on Paint) and describe any features of the store.'

That was my fault, I said the wrong word. I'll work on it with you, but I don't have Paint on my computer so you'll have to do the actual drawing. We can talk about it together and I'll tell you what to draw (although I am about to go and have a shower, so I'll be offline for a little while. I'll be back on as soon as I finish my shower.)

I'd suggest creating the clothing articles first, that will help us design the layout for our shop.

Can you move 'Ethi' up a bit so that we can see more of the G please?

How are the clothing designs coming along?

That's really good! I like it.

What I'd like you to do is using Paint, create an image of each of the four items we agreed on (our short-sleeved T-shirt, our long-sleeved T-shirt, our hoodie and our polo shirt.) It can be any colour, and I'd like you to put the EthiGo logo on one of the sleeves of each (if you have any other suggestions at to where the logo could go bring them up, but that's my plan at the moment.) The garments can be any colour you like, and if you could make them look as attractive as you can, that would be good.

I don't see why not. But as early as you can please, because we still need to do the store layout.

Ok. Tomorrow I will be going to the charity shop to work for 2 hours from 12-2 but anytime before or after I'm free.

I usually work on Wednesdays, but I work in a school and it's the holidays at the moment so I'm free tomorrow pretty much all day. I'll get up as early as I can.

Okay, thanks. Remember that the store layout has to be done as well (ask me any questions about that if you need help.)

Hey Eliza, just so you know this is the other team's shop layout:

http://pl.an/wp5pf1#assets

Obviously don't copy them, but it should give you some idea of the format of it etc.

Hey Eliza, I've just been looking at the costs, and apparently clothing usually sells for about ten times what it cost to make. It is made very cheaply because most clothing companies use close to slave labour, and pay very little wages to the workers, who are often in poor countries like India and other Asian countries.

We need to decide how big our mark-ups are going to be. Are we going to do ten times the mark-up like most clothing companies do, or should we make it a bit less - say, five or six times the cost of production? If we charge less we as a company will make less money and are less likely to survive, but if we charge more the clothing will be out of many people's price range. Either way, our products will be considerably more expensive than existing clothing companies, but we can't avoid that without completely changing our ethical policies, and that would mean going back to square one, which we're not doing.

Hi, just got back! Done the clothes! Hope they're ok! The green circle is where the logo will be. http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/9697/24339681.jpg
Am I doing the store layout on Paint as well? Why don't we do it together?
