HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I mean I like the guy actually, he is a good actor at times and can be funny, but musically, he is little more than a plastic pop star.
What next, Girls Aloud inspired by the collective works of the baroque era. |

If he makes anything close to the majestic greatness (
) of Achilles Last Stand or Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands then I might start to take him seriously.Unfortunately, however, I may have to wait as he is nothing more than plastic, manufactured pop star. Is he seriously comparing himself to Zeppelin and Dylan?

Just when you thought there was already enough to be depressed about the prospect of a 10 minute long Justin Timberlake song rears it's head on the horizon... |

What an idiot The reason Jimmy Page can roll out White Summer or Bonham could roll out Moby Dick for 10 minutes was because they could show off skills that no else could... playing the guitar or Bonham's insane drum solo's. What's Timberlake going to bring out? 10 minutes of a noise on a CD player? Citing Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen and Bob Dylan as influences is just his attempt to give him credibility, Mirrors sounds nothing like any of that. I did find it amusing though that he said it to Capital FM... they probably didn't have a clue who he was talking about. I can imagine one radio host now. "Pink Floyd... oh, yes, were they the ones who brought out that song Starships last year? We love that tune. Pink Floyd is AMAZING" |

Seems the music snobbery in this thread started early.

Not as early as it took the pop brigade to roll out the "music snobbery" argument... that's just a crap excuse because they can't argue with anything that has been said.
