Louise Jameson told to keep days free?

"If the #DoctorWho 50th special(s) doesn't feature at least one past Doctor I think I'll genuinely cry"

Louise Jameson ‏@Lou_Jameson

None of us knows yet what's going on, just told to keep the days free. Mmmmmmmmm intriguing

Sounds like, if she, like him, is referring to the main show episode as opposed to the inevitable documentary, that any past Doctor and companion involvement will be cameo rather than main role stuff as according to the costume designer it films 3 weeks from now. Though the script still wasn't finished as of this time last week so they could just be holding back from booking anyone till they know the final planned line up of returnees, if there's any.

Wasn't it Gallifrey? Which doesn't bode well for her and the original K9!

The original K9 ended up leaving Gallifrey somehow and ended up in his own TV Series.

As this is not a BBC production, direct references to Doctor Who are not legally allowed for rights reasons. However, Baker and Tams have confirmed that this K-9 is the original K-9 Mark I, who appeared in Doctor Who from The Invisible Enemy (1977) to The Invasion of Time (1978).[16] This model was last seen in the possession of Leela on Gallifrey

Don't know about Louise, but Nicola Bryant (@thenicolabryant) just tweeted:

"For all those still asking - if I've been asked to be in the DW 50th the completely honest answer is ... No! Sorry if this disappoints."

Perhaps she will be asked to contribute to a documentary or something even if not the show itself.

They've featured both Leela's K9 and Romana's K9 in the Big Finish Gallifrey series. One of the K9s accompanied Romana, Leela and a couple of other Time Lords into the Axis (a place outside of space and time where all parallel universes meet). Romana and Leela are currently lost on a parallel Gallifrey and K9 stayed behind in the Axis so, theoretically, they should all be safe from the Time War.

Of course, it could mean:

"Please keep your days free for an appearence in the 50th Anniversary Special"

Or, "please keep your days free for the Anniversary documentary/talking heads feature/The Weakest Link DW50 edition/The Total Wipe-out Special"...

Actually "The Weakest Link" would work quite well as an additional "Doctor Who"-related TV show. A special with all contestants people who've appeared in or been involved with "Doctor Who". And an in-joke for the fans.

In the year 3000?

After removing one of her eyes?

And making her hair purple?

And making her two dimensional?

And animated?

Maybe they could do it in character, with the Rani or Romana as the inquisitor and Doctors and companions as the contestants. William Hartnell's crotchety Doctor would have made a good inquisitor. Eh?

Or maybe not.
