Who is she?

I just googled her ------ Josie Diane Shirley Gibson is a British media personality, and former financial sales rep from Bristol. She rose to prominence after winning Big Brother 2010, and entered Ultimate Big Brother the same year. She was a regular guest host on Channel 5 magazine series OK! TV.----- I'm not sure what a media celebrity is though!!!! She's a pretty blond but I don't recognise her I'm afraid.

Josie would be very interesting, she would probably cause chaos.

Her voice drives me nuts though. I know not a major factor in DOI persay and people can't help their accents but just the way she talks arghh (apologies however to anyone who has the same accent)

it's as if she exaggerates her accent for effect

I didn't like her or her showmance on BB

I like the Liverpool accent I like most accents actually and it might just be as diamond says that she overexaggerates it when she talks so it comes across as more annoying as I generally like the different regional accents here.

She's an awful woman, not a nice person as she demonstrated when she was on Big Brother. A manipulative, sly stirrer.

Yes Please love a bit of Josie, and say what you like about her, her weight loss is great, she seems dedicated, I think she would be quite good

She was extremely unpopular on the DS Big Brother forum, I spent most of that BB playing devil's advocate and actually sticking up for Josie because people on here were just awful about her, some of the personal comments were way out of line.

I have to say her voice did drive me nuts too.

I've never heard of her but from what has been said above it sounds as if she could liven the show up a tad!

She does seem nice enough on Titchmarsh and I can't really comment on the BB stuff just remember all the mag deals to do with the relationship and then break and all the usual recent shes gained weight and lost weight stuff and its just because of Titchmarsh that I know of the DVD thing although he bugs me more in that segment than she does he is just so rude (oops sorry this is not rant about Alan Titchmarsh thread ) certainly I wouldn't go down the nasty route of comments there is far too much of that on here that is uncalled for and is usually for something that can't be helped like an accent which is naughty of me but its not even the accent as such I just don't quite know what it is that just seems wrong about it.

The best DOI champion ever was a reality show celeb - Ray Quinn, runner up on the X Factor

Surely booking Josie would be better than their bookings of Lauren Goodger, Tana Ramsey, Elen Rivas and Chloe Madeley?

Yes, she did win BB so maybe she still has many followers who would tune in.

The only one of those I would especially question would have been Elen Rivas although I know she was apparently a model IMO she wasn't well known enough and was famous purely on the basis of her being someones ex. The others however tenious did have pre existing careers and were known within particular areas before doing DOI.

My issue with a lot of reality TV stars and that is why I stopped watching BB in particular is there is no real talent required it is purely the expectation of getting on tv and then lots of money and fame come rolling in. Then because there is no other skill or talent they have to go on the reality tv circuit to keep earning because there is no other options (Rylan seems to be the current example of this). At least the others could go back to doing other things, Josie probably could as well but I wouldn't say she would specifically be a better signing than any of the others you mention.

I would think whether she puts effort in is what matters.

Oh yes but I can make an exception for him especially as he's from Liverpool as well lol. I used to watch at least parts of X Factor back then and bits of BB. Just got fed up with shows like that as they're just easy for producers, not much to think about as it,s been done before and for me too many of that type of show, not enough good drama. Seriously though I wasn't thinking of shows where people are trying to make it in the music business. I haven't got anything against people from the likes of BB getting on and making money out of being a celeb though, good luck to them I say. If other people want to buy magazines that they appear in and read all about them or buy their fitness DVDs that's up to them, not what I spend my money on. I just wouldn't want DOI or SCD being full of them.
