Your most annoying cancellation?
I wondered which cancellations of shows irritated people the most, as many times shows that have great potential are shelved after only one season - if that!
For me, it's Camelot. I was a Merlin fan, but I loved having a darker take on the legend too, and one of my pet peeves is shows ending with major cliffhangers. If there's a similar thread, apologies and feel free to ignore.

Ghost Whisperer
Ratings had decreased but not to the point where it needed to be cancelled. The last episode wrapped up everything to do with the storylines but for a show that had been running for 5 years and was actually a very loved show successful in so many countries, it was worthy of at least 1/2 more seasons. |

My name is Earl will always be the most pointless cancelation ever. It ended on an unresolved cliffhanger and was very funny.
Add to that the obligatory Firefly mention. |

Second vote for My Name is Earl.
Where would they have gone from that cliffhanger! Would Earl and Joy have got back together (unlikely, but if Darnell and Joy split then its a possibility)? Would Dodge have joined Randy and Earl on their quest creating a Two and A Half men type of dynamic? Would Earl have resolved to be a more involved father to him? Come back Earl!!! Does anyone remember Savannah? It was awful but I remember being hooked on it around 97-99. I think that ended on cliffhanger too or maybe the other episodes were just never shown or I never saw them. It annoyed the hell out of me at the time that I never found out what happened with them anyway |

My Name Is Earl, definately. Was really loving that show and it had potential to go strong for plenty more seasons.

Dark Angel. I read somewhere that it only ended because of Americas next top model. how or why i don`t know.
More recently Primeval: new world. was shocked when i heard that had been axed. |

8 Simple Rules was annoying, they couldn't have cancelled it at a worse point.
Another one was when Family Guy was cancelled after season 3, that was incredibly annoying because since it's been back it's not been quite the same. Season 1,2 and 3 of Family guy was Family Guy at it's best. |

Prison Break.
I know it was given a proper ending and some would say it had run it's course. But I would have been happy for it to run and run. Also Vengeance Unlimited. Cancelled after just one season. |

Angel and Ringer for me.
Did not like the ending of Angel and while I don't read the comics, what I have heard abut how they arrived it on I also don't like. I really liked Ringer too and wanted it to come to some sort of proper conclusion with the two sisters actually coming face to face. |

In America shows don't have to be failures to get cancelled, some can be quite sucessful but still get wacked because somebody high up doen't like it. Some shows like Gunsmoke or Touched by an Angel continued against the odds.

Terra Nova's cancellation was annoying. It was all left up in the air and completely unfinished.
