Why can't I left-click to open links on Digital Spy?

I'm using Chrome and Digital Spy is the *only* site where this is a problem.

The only way I can open links on the homepage (and linked news pages) is to right-click and open in a new window/ new tab.

Left-clicking does nothing.

This doesn't happen on the DS forums or any other site that I've come across.

Any ideas?

Same for me, was really pissing me off, so I stopped using Chrome on that computer and went back to Firefox. Even uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling it or using Chrome Canary didn't help.

one possible thought...

are you using an add blocker? DS has many very intrusive adds. It maybe that your add blocker is only partially removing one.

Try turning the add blocker off and see if there's something obscuring the link.

Same here. Clicking on links or navigating around the forums works normally.

I've noticed this problem but only intermittently, all i do is refresh the page and things seem to work fine.

Does it still have adverts in the forum pages? They have vanished from my screen - though I only noticed last week. I don't have an adblocker on ?? Have I killed them by using no pop ups, turning java off. or not updating adobe. or has Norton taken against them??

Oh yes, how strange. I think they may be having site issues with the adds then

No, I'm not using an ad-blocker. I do, incidentally, use adblock on my own machines and DS works fine. This is my laptop at work though...and ads are displaying normally.
