Millionaire Matchmaker

Is anyone watching this show?

It has to be one of the most cynical shows I've ever seen.

The fact that the owner of the matchmaking agency tries to convince people that the 'ladies' arent gold diggers is hilarious...

Yesterdays episode had the most awful man on there, Justin Shenkarow... my gosh what an awful awful man!

I'm watching it for the first time.

Shauna's tantrum when she saw Marc I've never seen anything like that. So rude.

Oh yes, that was awful, poor man...especially since she picked him in the first place. I think we all were able to see the reason why Shauna is single from her behaviour the minute she came on screen.

Same goes with the 'Picket Fences' child star Justin Shenkarow...it all just goes to prove the old adage correct 'money can't buy you class'

This is a long running show in the US. Not sure, but I think its up to about the sixth or seventh season of episodes.

Really it just gets worse. Some truly horrific people show up. And Patti, the Madame... er I mean "Matchmaker" continues to be crude, opinionated, and a bit of a walking contradiction, since she herself never lands herself the kind of mate she's promising her clients.

Oh joy. Watching Patti deal with Caroline Manzo's 2 over protected brats may be a step too far, even for me, a self confessed trashoholic.

Caroline, the only advice I'd give to any of your children's girlfriend's boyfriends would be "Run as fast as you can" otherwise you'd be signing up from the Monster-from-hell as an in law.

Actually, though I'm pretty over this show, having watched the first 3 seasons, I admired Patti's perception. Spot on.

There truly have been some awful people on this show. It amazes me that she can talk about the women who show up for castings(?) the way she does when she's not 'all that' herself.

Also, does she seriously believe for a single minute that ANY of them are there for any other reason than to gold dig a millionaire?

Nice to see one of her 'nice, good girls' run up to the guy she had met one time previously and wrap her legs around his waist while squealing...such a lovely girl :?

Omg what the hell was yesterdays show like? Staring man testing if his date was suitable wife material by trying to force her to eat chicken embryos (looked like foetuses too)! Im surprised she stayed for the whole date.

That was gross. There really are some awful people out there with a load of money!

Anyone see the awful drunk as a skunk airhead today that went out with the 'omg...you're so hot' gold digging **** who even on the mini date before the actual date, was trying to get cash out of her?

She's like an 11 year old girl with her overwhelming superficiality & he was completely on the make! As Patty said, she's totally beyond help & they deserved each other

On the other hand, John & Deedee I wish all the luck in the world as they both seemed like decent people who were completely attracted to each other

The awful 'cookie diet' gay guy yesterday was truly horrendous too! I felt so sorry for his date & cheered when he threw his wine over him

I couldnt believe that man! Hinting he wanted a car and a motorbike then said he was looking for someone to invest in his business! I thought patty would have had some way of sussing these sorts of guys out and eliminating them from the club.

Definitely! She knew what he was before he even went on the mini date with her. I think that she should sit in a room & watch the conversations on a tv screen or something.

Having said that, I don't think the vacuous airhead really cared. It came across as that she's so used to 'buying' affection that she doesn't even see it for what it is any more.

Honestly, he wasn't even good looking! He was just nasty!

I am also addicted to this show. Horrendous and fascinating at the same time. Patti does talk sense and she knows the type of women who are right for each guy. BUT she really doesn't care about any kind of diplomacy does she?

It doesn't take me long to get readdicted to Trash TV and I'm finding it hilarious after a pretty long hiatus.

Loved, loved, loved the guy who chose his first date to haul rubbish. I'd have loved him. He'd have ended up right in the largest, smelliest tip I could find, with sewage over his head.
Seriously, I know this is all set up and the "millionaires" don't have to pay the exorbitant fees, it's all gratis and done for entertainment, but I suppose the basic premise is the same. What seemingly intelligent guy would set himself up for total ridicule. I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole, squillionaire or not.

Incidentally the stupid millionairess who is "on the large side" and hasn't progressed beyond the mental age of 9 appears in another series (I think it's Series 6 which has just finished airing in the States). Patti gives her a make over to get rid of the pink and peroxide and she looks OK.
I was really surprised she didn't the first time round....or am I getting my episodes mixed up and this IS the second appearance?
She's still an imbecile though and is right back to her haze of neon pinkiness single, of course.

I completely cringed when Patti made herself the client or "meet me, your millionairesS"
Out the window went the screaming banshee tearing into potential dates and in came a simpering little child all adoring eyes and soft voice. BARF.

But, drat you OP. You've got me watching this again, and -dare I say it- enjoying it in a trashy, car crash TV type of way. I don't know whether to thank you or be mad.

I watch this late at night sometimes at 1am. What is it's usual time? Some of the people on it are beyond help!
