A nice tuna steak for a "meaty" dish.
Dover sole for a delicate dish with baby new potatoes Sea Bass for a Thai, or naked on mash. Mackerel - lovely for a snack, particularly if bad breath isn't a problem afterwards. Haddock - for a dirty-friday takeaway

I love smoked fish: salmon, mackrel, haddock. I also love tuna, and if i have fish from the chippy it's gotta be skate! But my ultimate favourite is monkfish! Yum Yum!

Haddock for fish 'n chips and smoked.
I'm quite partial to sea bass and herring too. |

Cod, tinned tuna, smoked haddock, have had smoked salmon, smoked and fresh mackerel, fresh sardines, salt cod, sole, plaice, dogfish, white fish and have generally liked them, apart from fresh mackerel which had way too many bones for me.
I have started to really like fishcakes made with smoked haddock lately, so at the moment I would say smoked haddock. |

For fish in batter it has to be Haddock. I love all fish and shellfish but I am particularly partial to Halibut and Hake.

Dover sole, fresh cod and smoked mackrel. For some reason I've never tried sea bass although I know it's hugely popular and on every restaurant menu. Must change this soon.
