Low-sugar tomato pasta sauce?

Most of the pasta sauces seem to have a ton of sugar in them, combined with pasta and the tomato, that's a lot of sugar for a meal.

Looking at doing a chicken/pasta/tomato sauce combo.

Buy passata and add a few herbs and spices.

ASDA (and probably others) do an Extra Special Passata with garlic & onion.
Reduce it a bit and it's a perfectly fine pasta/pizza sauce.

The ingredients list sugar but I haven't found them overly sweet. In any case you can add vinegar/lemon juice and salt to balance it

I find dried oregano also reduces sweetness (The chunky one lists it in the ingedients)

Make your own sauce, it can be sugar free and it is good fun to experiment with different herbs and ingredients based on a basic jar of passata

I either buy passata or make my own.
