I think you will find the majority of them haven't skated before and given the premise is supposed to be about teaching beginners how to skate having something like hockey skating experience is giving you something of an advantage and an uneven playing field to even begin with which was something I even thought with David Seaman and Jessica Taylor because they did Strictly On Ice. I thought they both went into DOI having an unfair advanage as they had been given previous skating training.
Chris Fountain was open about it as I say not 100% certain on source as I say I say a comment referencing it today when I was looking through the page and I will check it again if it ever calms down on facebook but if true Matt has kept quiet about it its the secrecy of them use claiming to have no experience but be brilliant just seems wrong IMO.
He is not the best skater, his posture is diabological and he does not get pulled up on it. He cheats a lot on his moves and IMO its all show and no substance. Others have put the effort into actually getting the moves perfect and don't get the credit for it whereas he is allowed to make mistakes and get away with it.
