Could they be any more blatant in their favouritism towards Matt?

Nothing blatant about it. Some people just don't like it when the judges disagree with them.

If true then he has had an unfair advantage in terms of having skating experience and would explain the posture etc and grrrr I just don't want him to win please please GBP have sense and don't vote for him.”

Many of them have skated before. The rules don't say the contestants must have no previous skating experience.

Even if the majority disagree with the judges?

The judges are judges for a reason. The general public don't see with the same eyes.

Personally I believe Matt is the better skater. I agree with the judges.

The judges don't always vote the best skater though

Hes the shows favourite. I think he will win anyhow, but its obvious how bias the show is towards him. What can we do? I mean he holds all the aces at the moment, I can't see him being beat in truth!

Just yet another scripted winner, reality tv at its finest!

and why I don't vote.

The comment about being the best male celeb doing the flying annoyed me a bit as I'm sure if it was Matt vs Ray, Ray would win.

I don't feel that Matt is as good as Ray and Chris Fountain, but I don't know whether I maybe just cared a little more about the show when they were on.”

both Ray and Chris were better week one than Matt is now .. and then they improved to jumping and spinning ... Matt's new skills seem to be just rolling around on the ice ... skating wise there's no progression in his skills

Has Matt even attempted a jump - I can't remember

I can't see him doing a split jump like Ray or the spin that Chris does so well

'Rolling around on the ice' reminds me of Todd

Didn't Beth do a spin earlier in one of the shows?

Well Karen certainly couldn't be more blatant given she said so on This Morning

How they can let sit on the panel and 'judge' after that is beyond me

I think you will find the majority of them haven't skated before and given the premise is supposed to be about teaching beginners how to skate having something like hockey skating experience is giving you something of an advantage and an uneven playing field to even begin with which was something I even thought with David Seaman and Jessica Taylor because they did Strictly On Ice. I thought they both went into DOI having an unfair advanage as they had been given previous skating training.

Chris Fountain was open about it as I say not 100% certain on source as I say I say a comment referencing it today when I was looking through the page and I will check it again if it ever calms down on facebook but if true Matt has kept quiet about it its the secrecy of them use claiming to have no experience but be brilliant just seems wrong IMO.

He is not the best skater, his posture is diabological and he does not get pulled up on it. He cheats a lot on his moves and IMO its all show and no substance. Others have put the effort into actually getting the moves perfect and don't get the credit for it whereas he is allowed to make mistakes and get away with it.

Yeah I think this is part of the reason I don't care about the show as much anymore, they are not trying to progress them by doing new skills, I don't think it's just Matt, I don't think any of them have been given many new skills. They have been given some bigger lifts, and skate a bit faster but there's no focus on skills. I miss the skill of the week element, at least it taught the viewers something about skating and we knew what to look out for from everyone. I enjoyed them adding in jumps and spins and I remember Chris doing the blur spin and attempting the axle(?) jump and Ray doing the split jump. It has now become too repetitive in my opinion.

Ray's style of flying was actually quite feminine and his petite build suited it.

Matt's flying is more male and had more difficult moves IMO.

The best comparison would be Chris Fountain's flying - they're both the same height, lots of similar moves but Matt's performance was far superior IMO:

Ray week 1

Ray's flying ... so graceful

Yet Denise van Outen was slated on DS during Strictly for her previous dancing experience.

In one of the earlier programmes it was mentioned that Matt had played ice hockey and Matt himself said he was a dancer, so he's got a bit of an unfair advantage there, especially the dancing part as he's used to performing which Beth, Luke and Gareth aren't. So even if he's never actually danced in a show, he was at the Italia Conti Drama Academy in London for 3 years. Having 2 judges who are just judging on performance is a bit unfair on the others.

Matt can skate, no question about it, but for me, it comes down to the likeable factor, which he really has nothing likeable about him. Way to cocky and arrogant for my liking. There seem's to be a favouritism with the judges for him. His props night consisted of him just putting different hats on his head and the judges went wild. At the end of the day, he is getting through, wheter it be by the skin of his teeth or not, but I really hope he dos'nt win.
