Erm is this a joke? She doesn't do enough skating on her own TO outskate anyone. Everyone else in the semi final skated more than she did. And comparing to previous female celebs from other years... her skating is on par with coleen nolan... very little. I think the favouritism was always with Beth until this week when they realised she has not improved her skating skills...

You are either a complete troll or watching an entirely different show to the rest of us. To say she on a par with Coleen Nolan is beyond insulting.

What part of the judges say she is the BEST TECHNICAL SKATER is difficult to understand therefore meaning she is one of the best skaters they have had. Don't seem to ever recall them saying that about Coleen.

So if she was not improving why did Robin a SKATING judge give her a 9.0 and a 10.0 and Karen also SKATING judge give her high marks oh yes and lets see why have her scores pretty much been increasing every week wild guess because she is IMPROVING.

Clearly you favour the boys but find your comments thoroughly insulting and inaccurate.

No they are accurate. Are you not watching the same show? Have you seen how much skating she does on her own? It is as much as Coleen Nolan did and she got dragged around and lifted around for most of her performances as well. The judges clearly favour Beth so that explains the high scores but when you look back at what Hayley from a few years back did at this stage of the competition you'll see what i mean about her skating skills. Yes she can do the gymnastic skills while being lifted but there is little skating on her own and with her partner. If she does lots more solo skating as well as the lifts then it'd be so much better. The reasons the male celebs are better is because they are doing a lot more skating without assistance and there is more content.

Sorry refuse to take any of your comments seriously if you honestly think that Beth is anywhere like Coleen as I say totally inaccurate and insulting as Coleen for one couldn't skate on her own at all and pretty much refused to do the solo spot when it was her required element and at no point has Beth been "dragged" around the ice she has worked along with Dan and skated with him not enabled by him as Samia was by Sylvain. I don't rate Hayleys skating skills and I think she was overrated in her series especially when seen on the DOI tour against Laura and Chloe. Beth has done more than sufficient skating on her own and has more than capably tackled everything that has been thrown at her you clearly have an issue with Beth regardless of her ability.

So you are calling the judges liars then for saying that she is the best technical skater? which means she is a excellent skater and last I looked they weren't moaning at her for clinging onto Dan or not doing enough on her own etc.

I think I will take the judges opinion on her skating skills rather than your assessment of them.

I am equally as entitled as you to post my opinion on this forum. I accept people are supporting people who I am not supporting. I dislike Matt with a passion but accept other people are supporting him however I do question posters comments that IMO are inaccurate and I am allowed to state that I believe IMO that your points are inaccurate and that you are being unfair in your assessment of Beth's skating ability.

Yes i compared her to Coleen because they both do little skating and rely more on thier partner for lifts. Beth may do more skating than Coleen but it is still little compared to all the other celebs at this stage in the competition. Compare previous female celebs at semi final stage to Beth and then you'll see what i mean.

To be fair the female celebs don't get to carry round their partners. If she did less solo skating in the semi-final it's not down to her.

Yes but yesterday I read on one of the threads that Matt had also and people were going on about it not being made known.

I didn't quote my source as 100% accurate I said it was a facebook comment on the Dancing On Ice page and I would check for more details when it wasn't as busy (last night obviously was chaos on there) so I wasn't sure of its accuracy. I did find the post again today and it was someone who said on Friday they had just found out that he plays hockey in reference to Matt and didn't seem too happy because of the advantage it gives him. As I say may not be accurate and I did say in my earlier post IF true not it was that it was true it was a bit of an unfair advantage as he didn't mention it. I don't recall it being mentioned in the early days of the show though.

As diamond1 says his skating style is very much hockey style so I wouldn't be surprised if he has played or does play.

People post lots of things here that are not true. Without a link or at least circumstantial and potentially verifiable details, it is completely reasonable to ignore these claims about Matt or view them as positively mischievous. (As I have said before, I am not particularly a Matt fan, but I don't see why he should be criticised for what so far appears to be fiction.)

Yes but Suzanne Shaw had plenty of dancing experience and Chris Fountain apparently had some Ice Hockey experience and both made the final. I don't think there is much of a disadvantage here as none of the current celebs have had previous skating experience have they? And the skating is the main part of the show...

There is no evidence that Matt played ice hockey. Only Chris and David Seaman were ice hockey players and they didn't win.

Like Beth, Matthew W was a gymnast, Suzanne, Ray and Jorgie had ballet/formal dance training from pre-school age, Hayley went to specialist dance and musical theatre schools while Sam and Matt attended Italia Conti theatre arts school.

Doesn't look like Matt has much of an advantage compared to past winners IMO.

In the self choreographed save me skates last night Beth and Luke had more technical solo skating moves and steps than Matt .... Matt has the speed and the lifts/breakdancing moves but very minimal technical or new actual skating moves
