Series 1 Bonnie topped the final leader board Gaynor won.

Series 2 Claire topped the final leader board Kyran won.

Well Bonnie topped the leaderboard in Series 1 most weeks including the final & came 3rd. Kyran was 3rd on the leaderboard in the final & won (though in fairness he had topped the board several weeks in the series & got lots of praise from judges) and it was also quite heavily influenced by the effing flying.

Jorgie was top of the LB last year but Matthew won.

Yeah the flying let Kyran down but he still had enough popularity over Duncan to get through to Bolero where he was better than Clare.

Same thing happened in Strictly where Louis was joint 2nd on the leaderboard but beat the others by a country mile in the public vote.

Its about who the publics favourite is at the end of the day and that isn't always the best skater/performer. The judges need to score based on what they are seeing in front of them and not what public opinion is of the contestants, and I think they have been pretty fair with their scoring so far.

yeah, maybe not in relation to other years, but I generally agree with the leaderboard most weeks.

2 x 40 for Matt. The judges look stupid already. Vote for Beth.

Matts first performance was over scored and Beth's second underscored. We can all see it plain and simple.

They already do to a lot of us on here so I'm quite sure lots of others watching will feel the same.

They will come out with the xfactor/big brother bollox when a judges/producers favourite is not saved or wins "the public didnt vote as they thought he/she had enough votes and was safe"

I don't usually vote but I've voted for Beth. Even before the show I knew the judges would give him all 10s. He could have fallen flat and they'd still have marked him higher than Beth. Personally I thought Beth was undermarked but she has been throughout the show..

The marks aren't the major thing that has made them look stupid but not having the good grace to stand up & applaud Beth made them look pathetic & spiteful.

Nobody looked stupid - the judges didn't agree with the majority of the general public, that's all. I much prefer Matt to Beth but I wouldn't call anyone who voted for her stupid just because I think Matt is better!

Why would they? Everyone knows that the public don't have the expertise to know what is the better performance and many often vote for the wrong reasons. How they vote proofs nothing.

It proves Beth is the winner,thats what the public wanted.

If it is a "professional" skating competition I think the judges should select the winner.

If it was a professional skating competition then the judges should be marking on skating content and ability and not rating performance above skating. First final in a long time where a finalist (and marked the highest by the judges) hasn't even attempted a 1 footed spin (his 2 footed spin in his showdance was very poor, barely 2 full rotations) or a 1 footed landed jump and who's basic skating was still shoddy......he still doesn't finish his bloody crossovers properly!!!!!

I one of the reasons Beth won is down to the popularity of her partner, Daniel has a huge fanbase. Beth was good but I thought Matt was more exciting, a lot of people didn't like his personality though

Very true. I liked Matt and thought he was always exciting to watch, though frustrating - a bit smoke and mirrors. He could really sell a routine, but when you actually looked back there was very little content (see my post above).

The thing that bugged me most was the judges constantly saying how good he was - "one of the best male skaters" - when he patently wasn't. Ray and Chris were head and shoulders above him in ability, even Matt W, Sam and Kyron were better than him. He was good, no doubt, but he was the best male (though Gareth could have given him a good run in the final) in a mediocre year tbh.

Erm it'a enterainment show - if you want proper competitive skating the world Championships are on this week.

And if it was a proper skating competition you wouldn't get a pussycat doll & some 2 bob bitchy queen as judges.
