Beth tonight...
I agree. I thought she showed emotion in the first skate, don't know where Jason was looking. Of course Karen marked her half a point lower than Robin even though mostly she's either marked the same score as Robin or even half a point higher, 'cos Matt's her favourite; which she admitted on This Morning. But what's worse is she gave Luke the same score as she'd given Beth 
no way was his as good, despite her giving him credit for the lift. Luke did quite well tonight but his skating is still quite a way behind the other 3. Also agree her flying routine was fantastic, it made me tingle. I suppose a 9 off Jason was very good considering!

I agree, I've just watched the performances, and I think hers were the best, certainly the most enjoyable. I thought there was emotion in there, I'm not sure what they expect.

I agree Karen's score for Beth didn't seem consistent, but I think she finished in the right place overall tonight. I saw where Jason was coming from in the first routine as it got to the end of it and I hadn't really felt anything about it, I can't really remember it now (can't remember Luke's either) but I can remember a lot of Matt's as he performed it more. I think Beth had moments where she was performing but it seemed a bit fake - Matt obviously has a massive improvement when it comes to performing though as his job requires him to be able to do this convincingly (I didn't watch him in Eastenders so don't know how good at this he was).
Completely disagree...Jason was spot on with the mechanical criticism. The lifts this week were not seamless which explains Karen's mark and as for Ashley and Jason; I have to agree! She's showing some performance but by 'some' I mean one facial and a lack of flow in her body language.

But Matt is a truly bad actor and totally unconvincing playing anything on this show. Jason likes him but I doubt its because of his acting. At best, its a case of ham actors marking acting. Most of the judges comments, when they haven't just reflected that Matt is skating like a male skater should, just reflect the content or lack of it of everyone' elses choregraphy and ignore whether the girls are doing what a girl skater should. And, along the way, there's no comment at all on Matt's bizarre posture and expressions, or the moves he repeats, or the slip ups. Its too often a case of mute the judges, and watch whats there, and you see something very different.
