Yes, Lindy. I think I read that article last year but look forward to reading it again later tonight when I get home. I remember it really gave some wonderful insight into the relationship she has with her son.

Been in meetings all afternoon so now back at my desk trying to catch up.

Right, taking it down a notch, here's a new article from today! Louis' coach thinks he can win Gold in Rio 2016 if he puts his mind to it!

Thanks for that daisy ..... I'm still in the mind he won't take it up competatively again.
He has talked so much about finding the right girl and starting a family by the time Rio comes around .. although I personally think that's too young to settle down.
I do however, think he will go to Rio .. but as a commentator which he will be brill at.

There again .. I could be wrong

A "competitive animal" - I like it!!

I agree with roadie & don't think he'll compete in Rio. It would be so difficult to find that discipline again after the few months he's had.

Yes, it just doesn't compute. Assuming that Louis finds a girl to marry say in the next year or so, and then has a baby a year or so after that, he won't want to leave them to concentrate on his training to the extent necessary to compete. He'd have to be 100% dedicated again and he just couldn't be with a family, and I think the stability of a settled home life would always take preference. He mentions this so often and his private life takes priority over his gymnastic career now.

I agree that 27 is a bit too young for Louis to be married with children. He's spent most of his life cocooned from the world, I think he needs some more time to experience it before he settles down.
And I also don't think his heart is in competitive gymnastics anymore now that he's had a taste of 'freedom' as it were.

Hmmmm.....doesn't this depend partly on whether he actually meets the woman he wants to marry within the next couple of years? He might not.....in fact it may be harder for him to meet someone now because of his public profile . And, and......okay, I'll come clean, I'm pretty competitive myself and I'd like to see him do the best he can do.......there's plenty of time for marriage and kids...

Edit: Then again, he does seem to have a sort of idealised view of family life.....so if you do meet the right girl, Louis, go for it!!

Actually, this video interview with his mum during the Olympics kind of underscores his desire to settle down too.

And on the basis that actions speak louder than words.....I guess the resources (time and money) he has put into building his own home at his age, further makes the point ......just hope he finds a girl worthy of him

Yes, he has made his 'nest' and now needs the bird! That last Twitter pic looked as though he's surrounded by packing boxes in his old home, moving in very shortly.

Daisy, as you live in the London area, and Louis visits the capital quite often, wouldn't you like to put him up?

Listened to the whole of this now. What a lovely lady. Also not one to have her head easily turned by the high life.....you can see where Louis gets it from!

My flat is rather small, I'm afraid. A one bedroom with a living room sofa that would be way too short for him to sleep on. He'll just have to make do with sharing my double bed!
