Sorry to have posted and then gone awol Family intervened!

I do agree with you Korky, our dear Louis is taking on far too wide a range of 'work', and some of it will damage his reputation. Young, fit blokes are ten a penny in magazines and on cheap-to-make TV shows.....What sets Louis apart are his values (his morality, if you like), his dedication to his sport, his warm and caring nature and his authenticity or honesty. These are all compromised by his seeming to promote the 'party' lifestyle, and being in judicious in his choice of work. We feel this is not the real Louis; however, he is young enough to be easily seduced by apparent ease in life, and by the constant stream of attention coming his way.

I feel that Louis needs to get back to basics and remember what got him where he is today. We know he values family life, honesty and work.......he just seems to have lost his way a bit at present. Maybe it has something to do with the difficulty of coming down off the 'high' after his success in the Olympics and in Strictly. Whatever it is, I hope he sorts himself out soon.

Maybe we will see the Louis we know commentating on the athletics on 19th of this month? It would be great if something like that helped him find his bearings.

I hope this post is taken in the spirit in which it is meant. I miss Louisville!
The is almost exactly what I feel and it seems we are brave to say it. This is an appreciation thread but is surely also a discussion thread. We are bound to agree sometimes and disagree at other times, but we all came here originally with caring feelings for Louis, although we do not know him. He said that he had high morals and I believe him. He also has self-discipline and a gentle nature. No-one can be a paragon, though: we all have human failings.

Of course Louis is entitled to 'party', see whatever girls he likes, swear if he wishes, get drunk, frequent clubs, flirt, go on quiz shows, promote bars, do whatever he wishes, but if he does these in public he has to face the consequences if would-be employers do not like the image that he is projecting. I think that it is this fact - that some of his behaviour is public which should be kept private - that is causing some of us to worry as it could convey to those who are looking to hire him (or go into business with him) a very different persona from the home-building, home-loving, irreproachable, unspoilt, virtuous character who landed so well from his Olympic pommel-horse.

I must just say that in my opinion an awful lot of the worries of a few of us will be assuaged when Louis finds a girlfriend to love and who loves him. I suspect that when this happens he will suddenly reject the party lifestyle altogether.

Just look at this! And that is what Louis' lucky neighbours will be saying when they peep over the fence at him.....

Well said Korky

I really hope that we can agree to disagree sometimes on here.....

We are all somewhere along the spectrum of views, and all of us have Louis' interests at heart. I don't think that I know Louis in reality, or that my views count as far as he is concerned.

What I do value, is the companionship and fun we have all had on here, and I am really hoping this can continue

So where is everyone?

Of course the fun will continue and we will get back to Louisville soon. I too don't think to myself that I know Louis. I simply think that he ought to protect his own image extremely carefully, for his own sake.

Fear not, Red. I have a feeling that we may be joining Louis in his jacuzzi some time soon!

He's been to the gym today, according to his tweets.

Here's a clip of Louis aged 18 (looking far younger to me) starting at 2.10.

Aaaww he looks so earnest. And sooo good on that pommel

This just shows how much experience he has had with the media, doesn't it, really. Even at 18 he was able to talk confidently, at the same time as actually pommel-ing!!

These look great korky - and there are so many more

I say ''look great'', because I can't have the sound on as daughter is trying to sleep and I've never got round to getting headphones

Seems it's pretty much just me and korky tonight. I am very sorry if I have offended anyone . Hope we can get back to our own version of 'normal' soon

Meanwhile I am off to bed.

Sleep tight everyone

Of course you haven't offended anyone, we are all entitled to express our opinions and the bottom line is that we are all united in our hopes that Louis builds a good life for himself.

Hi Lindy, I love all these new photos too... imho, Louis is a good model with his smooth and smouldering looks!

I wonder if TOPMAN will be using these photos in a fashion campaign (in-store and/or in magazines)?

Oooooh! Exciting times, as our Lovely Louis says. It seems that he has answered some of our queries about his future! He's a gorgeous model, isn't he, and he wants to sing (as we knew). Ooooh, Louis! I was very happy to read all about his hopes, mainly because he's happy. Looky here...
