Haha I like the way Stan says " when I catch up with him', hell find out exactly what I think about him" imo Stan looks like a tasty guy who can mix it with most people.
Good early evening jackyork.

Well I have seen Alan Green sitting next to Stan Collymore at a Chelsea match doing commentary and they seemed to get on fine so I wouldn't believe what you read in the papers (especially the Daily Mail).

I am telling you stranger things have happened than Greenie turning up on the TalkSport airwaves and I for one think he would do the almost unacheivable and actually improve what is already a damn fine lineup.

Let's all believe and make it happen guys

PS I only have one cat a little black and white female who is my best friend and she loves TalkSport too. Every morning she eagerly miaows at me when I turn on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast with Ronnie Irani

Good early evening TalkSport devotees

Another great bank holiday on TalkSport I thought.

The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast with Ronnie Irani with guest hosts Max Rush (?) and Matt Holland was light hearted and a good listen but wasn't it great to have the main men back in the hot seat this morning. Good stuff guys.

Keys and Gray with guest hosts Danny Kelly and Micky Quinn was also good and it preceded another solid if unspectacular effort from H&J.

DriveTime with Adrian Durham and Darren Gough was very amusing as they continously ribbed Adrian about his beloved Posh being relegated.

All in all a good day yesterday on TalkSport I thought and today was up there as well with a return to a more usual lineup.

Nice one TalkSport, keep it up

Yes you are right Billy244 Green wouldn't be interested.
There is previous between Green and Talksport.
If reports are to be believed Stan Collymore once wanted a little 'chat'

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/art...heap-shot.html
Subsequent articles from Charles Sale reported that Alan Green actually wrote to Stan Collymore to apologise for the numerous cheapshots he made towards talkSPORT and their team at the 2010 World Cup and the pair met up and talked it over at Wembley before England's first post-World Cup friendly that year. I have read that Green and Collymore were on good terms during the latter's stint at Radio 5 Live, so perhaps it isn't that surprising that they were able to sort it out.

To be fair to Green, who is far from being a favourite of mine, I can't recall reading a negative article about his conduct while on Radio 5 Live commentary duty since then (aside from a small story about him heavily criticising an overseas television journalist for getting in his way at a game at Old Trafford earlier this season). Since his unbecoming comments at the last World Cup, Green seems to have kept his head down and avoided the kind of adverse publicity he has attracted in the past.

As for Alan Green joining talkSPORT in the future, I highly doubt this will ever happen - I doubt they'd be interest on either side. I think the expectation is that Green will see out this and next season and the 2014 World Cup as Radio 5 Live's senior football commentator before either hanging up his mic or taking a considerable step back. Personally, I don't see Green being like a John Motson or a Ron Jones, who seem quite happy to wind their careers down steadily by doing only one lesser profiled game a week, so I could see the final in Rio next year being his final commentary ever. I suppose there is a chance that a retiring commentator of his standing might see the appeal in doing a studio-based magazine-type show for talkSPORT, as the late Brian Moore did with Inside the Boardroom in the years before his death, but given the level of venom Green has aimed at talkSPORT and much of the commercial sector in general during his BBC career, if he was to take a job at talkSPORT he would appear to be somewhat of a hypocrite.

Think you could be right about Green returning but principles go out the window when money is involved.I think Green is past his best I think he has been an excellent broadcaster over the years.

I like Sports Bar in moderation but I do wonder what they are going to talk about once the football season ends. Sure, there's Wimbledon and even the Confederations Cup but interest may die down if Murray and Robson suffer early defeats. Having said that, there's rumours Fergie is about to call it quit so maybe they'll talk about that all summer!

Good early morning TalkSport believers

All these alleged photos of events with Ronnie are photoshopped by the way. None are true and are quite disrespectful towards Mr Irani so they should not be displayed as they are not funny in my opinion.

For me smacks of pure unadulterated jealousy as Ronnie has a dream job that some people can only imagine.

Anyway, keep it TalkSport guys!

And don't forget to tune in at 6am for the real deal, Alan and Ronnie on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast with Ronnie Irani

i agree i usually avoid them like the plague but because of the speculation they had a few guests on and for a while there wasn't alot of them to endure so i listened to the guests and then got the hell out of there ( i'm still running)

That Guardian link suggests Moyes is not in the picture if SAF retires. It would be sad if he has to retire due to ill health.

Filling a three hour show on talksport is child's play Rowan when you take into account a quarter of it is taken out by commercials, football manager and player interviews, then there's every 30 minutes news bulletins, sports news headlines, constant travel information, weather reports, racing odds, jingles and upcoming show promos. Any time they have left they'll just discuss what's gonna happen next season in the over-glorified and much hyped premier league.

Ronnie has a dream job, you must be joking.
Most of his team mates (I say mates but I don't think he was very well liked) have gone on to much better jobs like coaching or travelling with the England team. Those that have joined the media are working for Sky, e.g Atherton, Hussain, Strauss. Michael Vaughn works for Test Match Special along with Tuffnall who is also making a fortune on T.V.
There are many ways Ronnie could have gone but he CHOSE to get up at 4am & work for this joke of a station where he is ridiculed by all, listeners & fellow presenters.
Brazil must be also envious of his fellow pro's when he sees those that went into management who then get the sack & are given massive pay-offs. Then there are Hansen, Lineker, on M.O.D. Merson, Thompson, Nicholas,& many others on Sky. Unlike Irani, Brazil didn't choose to work there, he just ended up there.
DREAM JOB. MY A**E.

It's going to be a boring day i'm afraid.
Ferguson retires.
A great manager, although I didn't like him much I can see he was one of the best.
Afraid we now have a few days discussing this.
