Actually I am feeling fine....just a bit discouraged at the way things are going at the moment...
Glad to hear that you are Adequately fine Augusta

You asked about books yesterday. I am reading Stonor by John Williams....published 30+ years ago and now going down a storm in book groups! Have only just started it but it seems Good so I think I'll get a cup of tea and read a bit more.

I'd rate my whole day as Good, by the way I overslept, but managed to retrieve the situation and arrived on time to deliver a five hour training session to local social workers. My remote pointer worked well with the PowerPoint, the case scenario produced a lot of discussion, and the 'experiential' bits were Good too.

When I got back home I managed to speak to mum's GP on the phone.....Outstanding!

Breakfast and lunch barely happened (disappointing), but o/ h made some Outstanding chicken fajitas for dinner. Now all is quiet while o/h and daughter watch a film........I reckon that's a Good day overall, don't you?

Sleep tight all

Lindy xx

Morning all

How are we all today? I managed to find TWO roofers who hopefully can fix the drips. I am getting down just looking at the stains and hole in the ceiling.

More gardening news! Think the cayenne pepper has worked. Haven't seen the squirrel for more than two days! Will have to put more down as we have had some rain.

Had yet more bad news from home. Wonder how much more there is. I am finding it very tough to be cheerful.

Have a lovely day all.

strange weather this weekend, one minute its brilliant and sunny, and I take the dog out in just a jumper, next minute as Im outside the co op in the car, the heavens open and I get soaked just running 100 yards in the hailstones......

So who watched the Voice and or True Detective last night on the TV? It is a fascinating process to watch the Voice and to try and predict which singers will end up in the final. I like Sally, the older lady and who was the other one I liked? I cant remember their names yet!!!

So today is the jewellery programme, about the famous jewellers in Bond street, Im looking forwards to watching that..

have a lovely sunday everyone xx

Morning all!

Had a lovely lunch in London with some friends at a Sardinian restaurant. Terrific! Lifted my spirits quite a lot.

Sad to say augusta, I watched Hornblower. Was quite tired so watched it in bed.

Off to make some muffins/cookies for my neighbour who lost her husband. Might do a seed cake if I can find a recipe. Can't decide.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Morning all

O/H home to fix our family bathroom toilet. Leaks seem to stem from the dormer windows. Big expense to fix! There goes the holiday for this year.

Not feeling great so will go back to bed in a minute.

So glad that the ladybugs are gone - but be vigilant and do spray around your windows and if you have any soil near your wall - I would dig it up so birds can eat anything lurking there. I think they come in during the warm weather and lay their eggs in colonies. Yuch!!

Just finished a book by Elizabeth Taylor - really lovely. A friend has recommended her short stories. Will tackle them soon.

Just read something interesting - do you know that 1 out of every 4-6 apps contain a virus or code so someone can hack into your system - send you junk info or worse? I don't think I am going to get a smart phone after this.

Have a good day all.

its worrying about the apps...carrying viruses. I spose this could be why my computer tends to run slowly at times......I think there are also viruses somehow connected to the adverts that seem to pop up all the time....

I am getting so tired of the adverts but I suppose they need to get an income from somewhere..-(

Jewellery class tonight.......I cant wait....

I too am getting fed up with the pop up ads too.

O/H has fixed the loo thank goodness. I made a vegetable soup and done a bit of tidying up and then went to bed for an hour. Feel a bit better but will take it easy tomorrow.

Hope you have a lovely jewellery class augusta. We will be watching Midsommer Murders and then bed!

Just started Hemingway's Boat. Quite interesting!

See you all tomorrow.

its lovely to hear from everyone...

we are just about to watch Giselle on sky arts......I hope I understand the story....Im not really that good with Ballet..,I find it hard to follow the story at times, unless I know it in advance...but then again, shakespear plays can be a bit like that as well........But cos my daughters did it !!! I do know how technically difficult it is . and beautiful to watch..

Off this weekend to visit the inlaws...going tomorrow and back on sunday. The best news of the day was that my tiny suitcase is perfect for cabin luggage.....I measured it and everything. !! At least this way I should really limit how much I need to take, and it saves so much time ...... this way I can ..just walk off the plane and walk straight out...

Morning all.

Giselle is one of my favourite ballets augusta. Wish I had Sky so I could watch it. My favourite pairings in the roles of Giselle and Albrecht were Carla Fracci and Erik Bruhn, who was one of the greatest dancers ever.

Hope you have a lovely time in France - I am jealous. We won't be doing anything this year I don't think except have windows done. Still, that is important.

Off to the funeral in about an hour - not looking forward to it - does one ever?

O/H had the day off yesterday so we did food shopping, paid bills, dropped off donation to charity shop and then went to the local herb farm . We too had snow but it was preceded by the most violent clap of thunder and lightning. Really screwy weather.

Cough has now come out and o/h has the beginning of my infection. Luckily he isn't doing anything so can take it easy. With all the awful deaths recently I feel like a mother hen and cluck over him all the time - he hates it.

Well, best get on.

Have a weekend.

Hope augusta is enjoying her break to France.
