Thanks, all feeling so much better

i know its wrong but it did so please me them going out of the
champions league

and only a draw yesterday
and by the way
well done on your Champions League place, that it some record
to be proud of.

we have crystal palace today
wish us luck x
Thanks georgy, 17 consecutive years is quite a record, just wish we could make it to the final again.

I have to admit I did have a little smirk to myself about Chelsea , I just find him so arrogant and he seems to think he's above the rules.

As I type you're one nil up, come on Liverpool, need the points and some goals.

Hope you've all had a good weekend.

Just a little bit excited cos JACK'S BACK!!!
I've been waiting sooo long for tonight.

I shall be snuggled on the sofa in my pj's, with my hot chocolate and a little snack (shortbread and chocolate rich tea bickies) at 1am for two hours of excitement and probably indigestion at the end of it.

See you tomorrow, still one nil georgy.

Morning all.

Hope everyone is feeling better today.

I too was happy about Chelsea. Don't like arrogance.

Very sad about Elena Baltacha. She was a very brave woman and always had a smile on her face. May she rest in peace.

Morning,

Another bright and sunny day
feeling a lot better
just had breakfast sitting out on the balcony
very nice
with the little birds singing their hearts out

hope all are enjoying the long weekend
shall have a read back
but i expect most people have been getting out and about
well you can't miss this weather
by sitting indoors
Glad to hear you are feeling better georgy. I got a bit of sun but am on hayfever tablets again -

We are watching some crazy robins and blackbirds. They do sing their little hearts out don't they - love the dawn chorus!

Sorry to hear you're suffering with hay fever nyannie, it's grass cutting that affects me, makes me sneeze like mad and eyes itch. Means I never have to mow the lawn though lol.
Hope the tablets do their job.

Lovely to hear the birds, they're all busy nest building and the starlings already have their babies, they're emptying the bird feeders faster than I can fill them. They seem to work tirelessly all day long.

Someone in the neighbourhood has got chickens, so we're treated to a very young cockerel exercising his vocal chords at around 4.30 in the morning.

Hi Augusta, yes I was talking about 24.
They showed it first time in the early hours at the same time as it was being shown in the US.
Its set in UK for the first time, Stephen Fry is the Prime Minister. Have to say it's back to it's best.

Alarming where the money goes, I do a double take every time I get to the supermarket checkout. I'm like especially when it's supposed to be a small shop week.

Weather was beautiful, sunny again today after a rather damp start. Very windy though, still it's giving the washing a good blow through.

Oh georgy and Lindy, what on earth happened to Liverpool?
I stared in disbelief when I saw the match highlights last night - it's like they just went to sleep in defence.

It could still be anyone of three that wins the title, but if Man City win tomorrow night, I think that'll be pretty much it.
Mind you it's been such an unpredictable season, I wouldn't want to bet on anything.

Morning all!

I am so envious that you are all able to see 24! We only have Freeview. Having said that I am now hooked on Movies4Men and Food Network UK. I did try and watch the film Bridesmaids last night - didn' t think it was that funny!

Lovely day and saw a family of sparrows out in the front garden. I love the Spring!

I wonder what John is doing these days - hope he is happy.

Must get going and catch up with the laundry - washer/dryer is supposedly fixed! We will see.

Have a good day everyone.

busy watching re runs of the IT crowd, with the guy in it that was in Bridesmaids I think.......Chris O Dowd, it is so funny, and then 24 to watch later......I hadn't realised that Stephen Fry was in it......

I too wonder what John might be up to at the moment..

and did anyone else realise that Eurovision is on this weekend, with the strange entry from Austria., is the transgender person originally male or female I find myself wondering?

Just got back from rainy London. For some reason I am exhausted!!!

I didn't realize Eurovision was this weekend. I used to watch it religiously but now I think it a 'fix' as the UK, Ireland, France etc never win. Will probably watch it if nothing else is on.

We will be watching Great British Menu though. I love how innovative some of the chefs are.

Anyway, off to make a cup of tea - I am PARCHED!!!!!

hubbie managed to knock himself out, for a few minutes
in what was meant to be a no contact, friendly five aside
indoor footie match.

he is alright a bit bruised and sore
but no one has had much sleep, had to keep a careful watch over him.
just to be safe and sound.

we had the womens cycle race go past at lunchtime....what an amazingly well run and well organised event. I got stopped by the police at the front of the rolling cavalcade and saw the whole thing roll past in front of me. there were loads of policemen, and marshalls and stewards and then the cyclists themselves who went past so rapidly. Very exciting.

how was your day up in London nyannie? And I hope your husband is feeling better soon
Georgy.

what strange windy weather we are all having at the moment. !!

So its nearly that time again....this years BB eye has been revealed....Will any of us be watching? By my past record, I tend to watch one series pretty intensely, then realise I have overdone it, and don't watch that much for a few years, by my reckoning, this year might be one to watch, but it does all depend on who they choose to enter...

I quite like watching Eurovision....its dreadful on one level , but great fun to watch as well, I think I might see if there is a thread on here about it....

Im in a mood where I really want to change things around in my life...trouble is where on earth do I start? I like aspects of my life, like my OH and where I live, sort of....but not my job....its frustrating working on supply, I would love to have something regular, where I knew where I was from week to week, but I spose that is unlikely at the moment, given the situation and my age...

Never mind.......its heading towards the summer, which is always fun....

Sorry augusta, think I will be giving BB a miss this year. Do not want to get sucked into watching every evening.

I am also going to be giving most of Eurovision a miss too. There is a very good German series (last one tonight) on BBC2. I try to translate the German but sadly I do look at the subtitles.

As for changing your life. You can do little things like making more time for yourself and your jewellry. Major changes when you retire. Perhaps make a list of things you want to change and work from it. Easier said than done I know.

Take care and have a good weekend everyone

oh I loved watching Eurovision , my favourite song was by Austria, just to listen to, and the fact that it was a bearded lady just added to the European experience!!

a miserable windy day here, but a bit of clothes shopping does wonders to change my mood..

Hi everyone

Sorry to have been away so long but as you know, sometimes life just takes over.....

Anyway to get the obvious over first, no, Liverpool didn't win the league Still, I think we have done fantastically this season and it's been a brilliant competition....and at least Che**** didn't win!!

Then.....we have decided not to move after all. Everything was getting very complicated, there was the subsidence issue, etc, etc, so I have to say we are both really relieved to be staying where we are

Then also....last week we were away for the week in Kent. Had a great time but no chance really to post here ....

And I have to say, I had forgotten how tiny the font is in this reply box Too small, in fact, for me to type any more at this time of night.

So, just wanted to say hi

And sleep tight all ( where are those sleepy smilies of old?? )

Lindy xxx

Morning all

Good to see you Lindy - hope all is well now and we will see you more often.

Great news! Nashville is being renewed for a 3rd season. Hope More4 renews it too.

Quiet weekend - still suffering from ear infection - and our washer/dryer is spouting steam!!!! Calling the repair man in yet again!

Went to the Garden Centre and bought more plants - and some Aftercut!

Well, o/h about to leave for work so I will close. Take care and glad to have you back Lindy.
