Just got back from the last bit of Xmas shopping - no one sells Portmerion China anymore so had to buy it from good old Amazon. Hope they send it out!

Going back to bed as I feel very breathy and dizzy. Really fed up not feeling well. At least the sun is shining now - need to wash the floors but will wait until this afternoon.

Reading another Donna Leon mystery. I really feel I know Venice after reading her novels.”

getting her degree .

as for Liverpool i could see that coming in the last ten mins, i think we have forgotten
how to win ”

Ooh yes, a toast would be good

And as for Liverpool, I just knew that would happen! What on earth is the matter with us?!? Still, we did play a bit better overall.........

Going back to bed now.......can't achieve anything even if I stay up

Naughty georgy - going over the limit by £1!!! Shame shame. . .

I've had a bit of a relapse. Of course, washing floors didn't help. Really want to be fighting fit as I am also going to the tennis at the Albert Hall on Thursday.

Going back to bed for an hour.

Hi all, I've joined the ranks of the lurgy infected. Went down with a fever late Thursday night (temp 102f) which finally broke early hours Saturday morning. Throat so sore I could barely swallow yesterday (bonus is I could lose a few pounds) feeling bit better today.

Sorry to hear just about everyone else has been poorly too. Hope you're all feeling better.

Do I have time to be ill?? No I don't. and this is why I should follow nyannie's example and be well organised for Christmas.

Spent yesterday afternoon lying in bed watching Youtube on my Kindle.

We found an email sent by o/h's eldest brother (managed to miss it in amongst all the rubbish that gets sent) with a link to film of their epic voyage from the UK to New Zealand on board their 12 metre sailing ketch. They started out at the end of 2004 and having taken the scenic route arrived in November 2012 where they started their new life 'down under'. Their son finally finished editing the footage in May this year.

It was lovely being transported to a place of sun, sea and sand on a miserable winter's day when I was most definitely not feeling my best.

Wish my o/h would do some work around the house instead of making a steam engine which smells and affects my breathing - you cannot tell him anything though.

Just finished watching A PLACE OF ONE'S OWN. Really good Aussie drama.

Back to bed for me.”

I too am watching A Place To Call Home, wonderful good quality production with thought provoking storyline. It's off next week because of the snooker, but my tv guide was delivered yesterday (arriving in droves now as we get nearer to Christmas) and it looks as if they're going to show the second series straight after the first, so no cliffhanger's to have to wait for answers to.

I love that commercial, very cute. I seem to remember they did the one with the sleeping bear last year - loved that one too.
This is quite something, as I'm not a huge fan of Christmas. Must mean they're doing something right with their commercials.

Well done to Liverpool for yesterday.

I'm never quite sure which Arsenal team will turn up on the day at the moment.
Disaster against Man Utd last week, then success against Borussia Dortmund in the week, getting through to the next round and a much needed win at West Brom yesterday.
We need some consistency and a stronger defence.

Is he opening his own shop?

I'll put on the Columbo gear and see what I can find out.

Just need to take my next dose of Nurofen first and make more tea.

Now Lena - this is important!!!!

1. Call the doctor and go to BED. Do NOT under any circumstances get up and make dinner, do housework, do Xmas shopping etc

2. Drink lots of fluids

3. Allow other people to do things for you.

4. You are allowed your kindle, laptop but you must make sure you get enough rest!

GET WELL!!!!!!

Lots of lovexx

Hope to see you all tomorrow at the restaurant. Table booked for 12.15!

I am now going back to bed. Still have NO energy!

Made gingerbread yesterday and dropped it on my newly-washed kitchen floor - what a waste of time and energy!
