Hi everyone, boy it's windy here (understatement of the century)
![]() They're repairing the enormous pot holes in the roads leading up to our house, which means we're having to do a detour to get up here and then have to ask permission to drive down to our road. What a palava, but at least it'll save the suspension on the car when they've finished. ![]() We've all had to weave our way up and down the roads for weeks as they've resembled those in Top Gear in Africa. ![]() Sounds as if you're almost ready for your trip nyannie. Are you flying or taking the Eurostar? ![]() I'm also thoroughly enjoying Broadchurch. I know the Dorset coast where it's filmed very well, it's West Bay (where they filmed the ill fated Harbour Lights) just down the road from where my aunt and her hubby (O/H's older brother) live. Beautiful area and stunning coastline. ![]() By the way, I hate to say it but I think the Miller family may have something to do with it. Can't help but wonder if the question 'How could you not know?' asked by Ellie Miller whilst interviewing Susan Wright is going to come back and haunt her. Is it me or do they seem to have been very lax when it came to interviewing her son Tom? ![]() Whoever it is, I think the community are going to be stunned when the truth is revealed. It is incredibly windy here as well, I was outside all morning, and now im feeling exhausted.... Im loving Broadchurch, and do think the sub story about whether or not you can ever really know what your friends and family are up to is a fascinating discussion point !!! I dont really care who actually did it, its just been so well acted with so many wonderful emotions shown, things like grief, guilt...like the newsagent guy...and how you move on from tragedy. I cant wait til next monday evening. |

Morning all.
I have to agree with you augusta about Broadchurch. Would you let me know who did it when I return? Nice and sunny here but we are going to have showers later. Getting excited about my Paris trip. Really don't know what to take as weather forecast seems to change every 5 minutes. Think I have done everything but I can't get phone on to European rate. Oh well. Hope everyone enjoys their day. |

Oh going to see the Monet paintings sounds wonderful. I love the one in the National gallery, this one sounds lovely.
Hopefully as they seem to have caught the culprits for the Boston explosion the London Marathon will go ahead without too much stress and trouble. Its a beautiful sunny morning here , just about to pop out to the local shops....have a wonderful day everyone...xxx |

Beautiful day here as well, not a cloud in the sky.
![]() Have a wonderful trip nyannie, you deserve it after your rotten winter. Sounds as if you have a full itinerary with some great places to visit. Looking forward to all your news when you get back. ![]() Any further rumours of John being over here? ![]() Off to the garden now for some much needed sunshine. Time to recharge my solar batteries, and boy do they need charging! ![]() ![]() Hope you're soaking up the Vitamin D Lindy, Apparently you should spend 20 mins a day in the sun without sun protection to get maximum benefit. Obviously this shouldn't be done in the midday sun otherwise you'll look like this.. ![]() Have a great day everyone.

How did any Broadchurch watchers feel about the final episode? I found it incredibly sad....in fact I think it's going to keep me awake
. The study of the effect of the crime on the victim, his family, the community and especially the perpetrator's family, was brilliant.Just wish it had been a bit ...kind of cleverer, though Although maybe that's just because then I wouldn't have had to face the emotional issues ![]() I knew there was a reason I never normally watch this sort of thing....I get too upset!

Hi Georgy
![]() An excerpt from one of my posts on the Broadchurch thread: I felt that Broadchurch ultimately fell down on the plot details, and that it was unsatisfying not to know either Joe or Danny better. The family and community reactions were brilliant, blew me away in fact, and I still feel sad now (lunchtime the following day!) But I can't get away from a feeling of disappointment that Joe's character was not better explored, nor his relationship with Danny. Am too tired with it all to say more ![]() Have a good day everyone
