Just back from a lovely relaxing weekend away near brighton. We went to Amberley park yesterday, full of old radio and TV historical memorabilia (akaJunk) my OH loved it

And we have a brand new fast broadband, that DS doesn't seem to like that much...so its taking ages to get on...hopefully now ive done it once, all will be ok!

Who else is watching the motor racing?

Dogs insurance is ridiculously expensive, as are vets bills.....its all a game isn't it......

Enjoy your day georgy, think you might not be a million miles from me.

I'm off to do a bit of ironing (don't want to show too much willing) , dye my hair ( which is more white than blonde nowadays) and then sit in the sun and sort through a pile of house magazines before recycling day tomorrow.

Have a lovely day everyone, whatever you're doing.

Morning all

well i went to worthing, i,m always around the west sussex area these day, well since
my parents moved. Its a bit like having a holiday home down there

When the weather is nice, thats where i head to.

so dog now has had the staples removed from his paw, hopefully he is now on the mend, I m just looking at all the housework I need to do.........it can wait a few minutes!

We watched the second part of the code of a killer, on ITV, which was fascinating, and I keeps seeing adverts for the new spitting images comedy show. I wonder what it will be like. Spitting image was a show that was so cruel , but also hilarious it was kind of must see stuff. I suppose lot depends on how well it is written.

we are away this weekind so its going to be a rush home from work, I love being busy, but it needs organising...I hope the dogs are going to be ok...!!
please to hear the dog is on the mend, not watching much tv at the moment, so i think i,m missing a lot of good shows.

i,m not doing any housework while the weather is good, i,m only doing it on rainy days now. I,m not missing out on the sun shine, as the winters seem so long now.

Another cloudless sky (I could get used to this) but there's a bit of a stiff breeze. .....still it's doing a great job of drying the washing. Nothing quite like the smell of air dried towels and sheets.

Busy sporting day today - live qualifying for Bahrain Grand Prix followed by a trip to Wembley (from the comfort of my sofa) for the first FA cup semi-final of the weekend - Arsenal v Reading. COME ON ARSENAL!!!!!

Aston Villa v Liverpool tomorrow, good luck georgy and Lindy. Unfortunately it's on at the same time as grand prix so I'll just watch the highlights.

we were awful Lena

So a big well done and good luck for the final

Good morning, sun's still shining yay!!
Sounds as if we all had a good weekend.

O/h home today, working so many extra unpaid hours due to new opening times and lack of staff they have to give it back in time off. Honestly if he hadn't gone to a four day week I'm convinced he'd have been working the equivalent of five and a half days now. On the plus side he keeps having extra long weekends if he can take the Thursday or Monday off.

Still chucking stuff out (tip and charity shop) in preparation for hopefully moving later this year. Tarting the house up is taking longer than it should - we seem to take one step forward and two back sometimes.

I spend any odd moment scouring Rightmove, Prime Location, Zoopla, etc to see what's around. Seriously thinking about a move to the Isle of Wight (or Wiggit as it's affectionately known here) and possibly dipping into savings and buying something a bit bigger and renting a bit out as holiday let. Hmmm, decisions, decisions.

Not so far from me, I'm in East Sussex, the other side of the South Downs.
'Oh I do like to be beside the seaside'.......well at least when the sun is shining.

Thanks georgy, we're going to need it.

We weren't much better. Got through by the skin of our teeth and couldn't help feeling sorry for their goalkeeper - he'd kept them in the game with some great saves - which no one will remember after that howler.

Going to have to do so much better against a rejuvenated Aston Villa. I still struggle to understand some of Wenger's team choices (changing a winning side for such an important game) Did he just underestimate Reading.

Giroud should've been in the starting line up, good strong player, which we needed - did you see the SIZE of some of those Reading players?

Really hoping he puts Ospina in goal for the final, Szczesny frightens me to death at times. Unfortunately I fear he'll stick to his guns and keep him as Cup goalkeeper.

One last message to the BBC......PLEASE ditch Shearer for the final. He has the biggest chip on his shoulder....you lost to us in the Final .......get over it!!!!

While we are ditching people could BT get rid of Michael Owen to .... its the grating..... whiney voice..... its so very annoying

i agree also really felt sorry for the Reading Goalie......... its just one of those things

well I have got on eventually, wonder what has been wrong

strange sort of time at the moment, everything feels a bit of repetitive cycle. I had a lovely day out on Monday, which just reminded me that there should be more to life!!

I love Worthing, we went on the pier there, at the weekend, into a lovely art deco style restaurant. Beautiful.

Ive cut the grass, taken the cuttings to the dump, oh its been pretty busy and exciting here.

Moving sounds fun Lena, what kind of house are you going for?

Hi, are you still having trouble logging on? Still working fine for me.....let's hope I'm not speaking too soon.

Have you all been out enjoying the sun? I've been slacking again today.....two days in a row......this is NOT good.
It's only going to make my life harder tomorrow, I shall be moaning then about having so much to do.

Trying to catch up on tv that's been stored on the planner forever and a day. We usually get about fifteen minutes in and then my o/h's chin hits his chest and the snoring (that an hibernating bear would be proud of) starts.
So, I make a noise (coughing loudly usually does it) we rewind, get just past the bit where he nodded off first time and the snoring starts again.

I rue the day he bought that Stressless chair.

Well, better go do some washing up before I add the dinner stuff to it (Jacket potatoes and quiche tonight, followed by syrup sponge and custard)......and this is why I'm not losing weight.

Have a good evening everyone.

Now you see I started that last post about forty minutes ago.....
since then I've part nuked the spuds before putting them in the oven to go crisp on outside and fluffy inside, stopped Twinkle from sliding along the bottom of the sofa using her claws (she's wrecking the fabric) whilst trying to entice sofa slob Misty into chasing her round the house, got the washing in, put the foxes egg out and changed into jogging bottoms cos my legs were chilly in my cotton trousers.....
went to post and ..........
internet connection had gone down

I'll catch up on posts in morning as my little hippo has nearly finished wallowing in his bath and will be ready for his dinner.

Twinkle sounds hilarious Lena - I am just trying to make a mental picture of everything.

My 30 lupins arrived this morning so spent the mornin potting them up. Really cold today!

Last Leg is on tonight - my favourite program!!!

Friend coming tomorrow to do some drawing - such fun. Will go to the gym at the crack of dawn so back for 10 am.

Busy weekend.

Funny things are happening so I am logging off.

Plea to DS - please fix things. It is awful to try and log on -

Hi to all, a day later than intended.....best laid plans of mice and men.

How blooming cold is it today? I'm not sure where that wind's coming from but I sure as hell know where it's going!!!

Popped out in the garden to discuss plan of action for tarting it up and nearly froze to death, heating cranked up and cuppa to thaw out.

O/h's been on roof of conservatory and discovered flashing is falling apart, so that would appear to be the reason for leak which has blown the plasterboard on inside wall. Confident he can replace and repair which has saved on the enormous cost of a new conservatory, not something we really wanted to have to do.

Having a weekend off from decorating and decluttering, we have tickets for the theatre tomorrow night. Going to see Ghost Train, which was written by Arnold Ridley (Godfrey from Dad's Army) when he was in his twenties. He was inspired after being stranded for a night at a railway station in Bristol.
Also bought tickets for Mousetrap, not till June but they're selling fast. Went and saw 'And Then There Were None' with Paul Nicholas last month which we thoroughly enjoyed.
