I spent yesterday visiting the garden centre and then trying to tidy up the garden, I was going to do more this morning, but its currently raining, and although I want to get on, rain isn't fun in the garden.
I love the story of the tortoise and the lupins....we had a rabbit that ate every sunflower I tried to plant, it took me years to work out why all the sunflowers I had tried to plant in the garden, or grow from seed, all disappeared. I tried, seeds, seedings and fully grown mini plants, but they all went, and then one day I saw casper munching away! I love sunflowers too.........
hope this rain stops soon!”

So did anyone else see Poldark on sunday, they were right it did end on a cliffhanger, literally.
our injured dog is meant to be on a diet, but less exercise than usual, and lots of treats to cheer him up, mean its not been that successful yet! I now have a cone for him, the bandages have come off, but he is licking and worrying the edges. Stupid animal. But he absolutely hates the cone. He cant work out how to get through doors and just stands there looking upset. Then he starts to tremble, so I am having to try and stay with him, to avoid him wearing the cone, as much as possible!
I do love him dearly but he is hard work at times!!
but he is going to have to wear it when I go out to aqua aerobics!”
I can see you waiting patiently for the sun flowers every year and wondering why they're not growing. They're such cheerful plants aren't they, with their huge nodding smiley faces? What is it with animals....once they become fixated with something they seem impossible to deter? My son's partners tortoise is obsessed with tomato plants, the minute she puts him out for a run round the garden he's straight to the veggie patch.
Poor dog and his lampshade, they're not much fun.

We found the cats staggered around like old drunks, poor Presley always ended up walking into the wall, he couldn't negotiate doors either. I wonder if it's something to do with the fact their eyes are on the side, it must restrict their vision?
I've come to the conclusion all animals are hard work, but you can't help but love them.
Enjoy your aqua aerobics, sounds like fun.
Well, I'd better get on...the towel wash has nearly finished and I've the bed to strip and then it's the ironing

......at least I cleaned the house yesterday and cleaned out the budgies.....with any luck I can have tomorrow off.
Have a good day everyone.
