wimbledon has been exciting ...... some good matches And Heather Watson..... so nearly

Murray is facing a giant today...... not going to be easy

and on Wed....... my favourite starts the Ashes....... cricket......... lovely

need to do a food shop today
miss Nyannie lots, hope she makes it back would hate to lose touch

Gosh it's quiet in here, I guess we're all busy just doing everyday things.
I'm utterly convinced the clocks are speeding up, the days just seem to fly by and I actually find it hard to fit everything into my day.

Been enjoying quite a bit of Wimbledon, not the women's though........I really wish they would apply a bit of duck tape to Sharipova, the racket (no pun intended) she makes every time she hits the ball is thoroughly off putting. I've tried the mute button but then you miss the commentary and the roar of the crowd.

I remember Martina Navratilova being warned back in the day when she used to grunt occasionally, that was nothing compared to this.

I see the BBC have caved in to viewers pressure and restored Wimbledon 2day to more or less it's former glory. That's people power for you.

Now it's time to return Ms Balding to the horsey set, cos she knows b*gger all about tennis.

Interesting, I've not seen anything either.....looked at his twitter.....was a tweet with #Ashes........Could he be here for the cricket????

1st BiB, It was like playing a giraffe My poor sister (a rampant Murray fan) was watching from her sick bed (she's caught a very nasty throat infection, which means she has little voice) and was expressing her frustration by text. My favourite was 'I'm really beginning to detest this guy now.'

I'm such a Federer fan and would so love for him to win another Wimbledon title and he's playing so well here this year.

I think we're all missing nyannie, but she is already looking at a new laptop if this one can't be fixed. She'll be back, sounds like The Terminator.
We all love this thread, some lovely friendship's have been made through here.

I hope she's been having a lovely time in Cambridge and look forward to all her news when she returns.

we have bought a new car.... well tank like thing really Range Rover sport ..... its massive It will arrive in october
its more for hubs but it does mean i can get rid of my Estate, quite fancy just a little run around for me, something fun, a little convertible of some type

the tennis has been interesting,

Just watched a sad programme about people trying to get into social housing in Portsmouth, and most of them got turned away and had to sleep on the streets......its awful.

im away on holiday in a few weeks we are off to the Italian lakes, at the end of the month, I just hope we can get through the channel tunnel without any disruption.......it feels complicated!

I think the channel tunnel sounds as if it has calmed down slightly.....so fingers crossed everything will be well.

I see BB is still on, it has lasted ages this time....how on earth have some coped with being shut up inside a house for so long,? I would have gone crazy!!

Not only did papers arrive late but Saturday Kitchen isn't on. Oh well.

I have missed you all more than I can say. So happy to have laptop up and running. O/H has constantly been moaning about me using his computer for webmail. I am saving up for an Apple just in case.

Is John in the UK? He does have lots of relatives here and some friends too. Don't think he wants the fame game anymore.

I will NOT say anything about the current Ashes test. . .

Does anyone remember the background pic that John had on his twitter ages ago? The one with a guy sitting on something like a tree stump. It was set at nigh and I also think there was a bridge and a woman. Does anyone know of its origin?

one week to catch up on everything, and take my car to the garage, before we are off on holiday next monday.

how is everyone? I have got some plastic nails on my fingers that look great, but are so hard to type with............maybe practise will help!
