Morning all

Sorry Dan, I don't know either. Could be from one of John's trips. Wish I could be of more help.

Busy week - into London three times!!!! Then off to an 80th birthday party.

Just ordered some camp chairs. We never sit in the garden because of the ant problem and I can't take the sun, but my cousin is coming and they are sun worshippers. . .

Anyone see Fake or Fortune last night? Really interesting. Hope that church has lots of security now.

GB did well in the Davis Cup - or rather Andy Murray did well. They really need to find more stars!

Best be off, need to get sorted for today. Have a good day all.

how is everyone? I have got some plastic nails on my fingers that look great, but are so hard to type with............maybe practise will help!

so tonight we have Humans, what is everyone else watching? and of course fake or fortune.....”

We lost .......... Badly

i could never get on with the false nails
when typing they use to ..... just ping off across the office

did try the gel nails....... dried my nails out horribly , but have recently found Revlon gel like
nail polish and it is fantastic , looks great and lasts ....... perhaps give that ago next time Augusta

Hurray, hurray.........nyannie's back.
Boy have we missed you. I'd break out some bunting but I've no idea how to pin it on the thread walls.

So what's been going on since I last popped in?
Lots of people popping in and out again. Really, we do need a waves smilie.

Hi giddykipper, long time no see.......hope all is good with you.

Sorry Dan, can't help either. Oh, it's not the one that was from the mural in the BB bathroom is it?????

I'm sitting here on courier watch (nothing new there then) waiting for my new mobile to arrive. We've finally bought smartphones.

Trying to decide whether to import old number or go with new one. Wonder if it's an easier number to remember, had this one for years and I still don't know it?

We've had a busy week, two trips to the theatre and a lovely family (my mum's side) reunion on Saturday.

Originally it was to celebrate my Aunt and Uncle's 60th wedding anniversary and their 80th birthdays. Sadly, they've deteriorated so much since the invitations went out in Feb (both have dementia) that they couldn't be there, so we celebrated my other aunts 65th birthday instead.

My cousin and his wife flew over from southern Ireland and another cousin came from Lucca with her two young children. Think it's been a bit of a culture shock this trip, from their little village of one hundred and forty people in the Tuscan hills to outer London were they've been staying with nannie and gramps. They visited the Natural History museum and the eight year old said he'd never seen so many people.
Spoke beautiful English despite speaking mostly Italian at home as Dad doesn't speak English. Wish I was bilingual like that.

What a great time we all had, catching up on all the news. I'm not suggesting there was a lot of drinking done, but the wheelie bin was almost full with bottles and cans when we left.

My phone's just arrived, how exciting.

On the downside, my iron is leaking all over my hand AGAIN, despite being descaled. What is up with the stupid thing, it's condensating inside and pouring out of the filler flap???? Grrr!

I need tea, lots of tea. Will pop in again later.

Aw - you lot are lovely - just pop in to be cheeky to Georgy, and people welcome me back

Don't mention the Ashes! - how irritating - we go to all that trouble to set them up well by our welcome here in Cardiff, and then the team just go to pieces at Lords Glad our Davis Cup team could do better. Go Andy Go!

Dan - John definitely said that picture was a little snippet of the bathroom decoration from the BB house that year, so Lena's right. We're so helpful in here

Good luck with the new phones Lena - I'm busy having a meltdown trying to set up my new iPad - may have to bribe a passing teenager to sort it out for me.

Gel nail varnish? May try the Revlon, so thanks for the tip Georgy - I've been avoiding gel because I'd heard it was harsh on nails. But I always use Revlon varnish anyway because it resists chipping so well, so perhaps their gel stuff is even better.
Of course, I might wait for your feedback...

Smart phones nice, i,m pleased to hear i,m not the only person not to remember their own
number, people ask me often how do you not know it, and i always reply ,,,,,,, well.... why should i ......... i don,t ring it

The theatre and party sounds lovely , so nice to get family together that you don,t often see. Your empty's in the wheelie bin sounds impressive

I also wish i spoke another language, Husband speaks French and Arabic, should of made more of a effort with the boys to, would of been so helpful in the workplace now.

Your iron sounds like it has a leak , perhaps the descaling was not the best thing to do, the scale was most likely blocking the hole ..... lol

enjoy your phone

Flutters eyelashes .......... we know lol

Its the Revlon Colourstay Gel Envy........ i've had it on my toes for three weeks not a chip in sight, i,m so impressed.

The cricket was woeful , but i,m not going into panic mode yet...... i,m putting it down to a bad day at the office or in this case wicket

Watched a little of the tennis, but only because i got so angry with the cricket
It was nice to watch us winning at something

What a lovely celebration Lena. We hardly have family celebrations. We go to my in-laws either before or after Christmas and see them rarely. Having said that, my sister-in-law and I are going to Chelsea Physic Garden on Thursday. Hope the weather holds.

What is wrong when everything seems to be going wrong? Just went outside and saw damp patch on bricks from the water softener. Had to email o/h in case I forgot.

Getting down to serious housework today and tomorrow - want the place to be spic and span for cousins' arrival. Just hope cool weather holds or house will be HORRIBLE!!!

Have a lovely day.

Hope England does better in the next test - their performance was lamentable. Time for some new bowlers and batters methinks.

The question is how did it happen? With John ,it could have been a number of things. Anyone care to guess?

Happy Birthday georgy, hope you had a lovely day with lots of treats and pressies.

Did you have bubbles?? Are you just a little bit squiffy??

I should've persevered with that bunting and added balloons too. Mind you, I'm not sure they'd have survived a hammer and nails.

Thanks for bringing that over, had to go on a bit of a search for it but it was worth it.

Very funny little clip.

I see that his mate said we don't want to know how he got his top wet.
Something tells me there's a story behind that clip.

so where does the time go?

Its nice to see John again, !!
I took my car in to have a dent repaired yesterday, I took it into a local garage and thought it would be easy to get back home again, i was wrong!! I am so used to having a car, its weird for me to not have one. I don't know where buses go from and to, and the taxi I ended up getting was late I had almost given up on it.

As we are off on holiday next week, it thought I could do without a replacement car, but it is a strange feeling to not be able to get around the local area.. Im used to using the train for trips to London etc, but will need a lift from my OH, to get there and back. I could of course walk....but its a very steep hill!

Today the excitement of cleaning the house and chores............

I love family parties, there used to be so many more when I was a child, partly cos we live further away from relatives, and partly because everyone ends up being so busy!
But it is nice to catchup .

best go and start washing floors.

The nails lasted 2 days.......and then fell off when I frantically tried to find something in the loft!!

Happy belated birthday georgy - work continues on my computer - can't print out things.

I am - can't get the link.

Nice to see you ellemay - good to see old friends. Do keep posting - same for you Dan and Giddykipper.

Got up at 4 am with a sore throat only to find ants streaming on the kitchen walls and cupboards. RAID came out and now the kitchen stinks - have had the extractor fan on for 2 hours!!!! Not a happy bunny - cleaned cupboards and evidently the cupboard doors got other half up - he is NOT happy. Have cleaned most of the cupboards but feel as if the ants are on me - YUCH!!!!

Going back to bed for an hour!!!!
