yes BIB apart from the struggle to fit all programmes in these days W&P in the house it is working up to. At least Winston has gone but think Nancy will have to watch out as she maybe the next target to go
OOOH landslides - worse than flooding I think.

Bright and sunny today.

I haven't watched CBB - know who is in it though. I am surprised Nancy has subjected herself to this reality program - she always appeared to me to be quite intelligent. I also know that Jonathan (who is he) has walked. Bet he only had a contract for a week.

Cannot bear Gemma Collins and hope she goes very soon.

War and Peace is terrific and I really love it. Love Endeavour too.

Anniversary dinner was wonderful! Will go to the restaurant again.

I am glad they are till n touch - you never know

Well, it was lovely for about 10 minutes - now we have rain etc. Luckily we are not in the parts of the village that get flooded.

It is our 25th anniversary today. A lovely friend sent a beautiful card and surprise present - totally unexpected. We will enjoy it for the next week. Time goes by so quickly it is unbelievable.

We are going out for dinner later and will have a small party when the weather is better.

Having a lazy day - reading papers and books and having a long bath.7

Hope augusta is enjoying her ski holiday and she has good snow.

Have a great weekend everyone.
Congratulation 25 Years , now thats a little bit special

im not going skiing until the end of the month..or so.....you cant get rid of me that easily

Wow John has really been working out.......he looks so different! Why do men do this to themselves? My OH wants bigger muscles like this, and im not that keen..

So has anyone been watching CBB or War and Peace? Character studies from very different eras.....but both seem to show warts and all .......
Skiing Augusta , now thats something to look forward to

never been, would like to try. well not so much the skiing but those hot toddies in the evenings

have fun x

boo.....how are you all?

Its a beautiful sunny day here, So who was it that got evicted from CBB? I watched the first part of it, but... they are so predictable... and with a daughter devoted to Geordie shores, I cannot cope with Scott! Who is a curious/sad creature.

Why on earth are the stars of Geordie shore, and other reality shows, choosing to go on so many other reality shows? We already know their personality from the first reality show, does anyone see anything new in Gemma Collins etc?

Just listening to Seb Coe on the radio about the doping scandal in athletics, its the Olympics this year, where on earth do they go from here? If they have missed the drugs so easily so far, how can they ensure that they aren't used this time round? I am sure corruption and rule bending has always existed, but its so unfair and so difficult to regulate.

work is crazy busy at the moment, even working part time. That is another thing I think we need to think seriously about at the moment, why do some have to work ridiculously hard, whilst others are desperate for work? Cant we somehow balance everything better?

And I am very sad about the death of Alan Rickman, and somewhat confused, When David Bowie died we had loads of retrospectives of his music and programmes about him. So why no tributes to Alan Rickman this weekend? Why no showings of some of his famous films? I would like to see them again!!

I too am very sad about Alan Rickman. I met him once - his wife was my councillor years ago.

There have been some obituaries but nothing on the scale of David Bowie.

Snow and ice here. Very cold. We have mac and cheese (wonderful recipe by Barefoot Contessa) for dinner tonight.

Been in lots of pain so will keep this short. Have a good weekend everyone.

Afternoon all.

It has been a busy week - got rid of loads of things via an auctioneer. Have floor space now in one of the bedrooms. Now to get rid of books!!!!

Just returned from an 'antiques' shop - really a junk shop!!! There was NOTHING I was attracted to - very unusual for me.

Any news of John? I thought he was supposed to be coming over here this month. Oh well. I saw 10 minutes of the Gemma Collins show - oops CBB. Won't waste anymore time on it. IMO they really should pull the plug on it.

Weather turned again - my daffodils look like they are ready to bloom. El Nino to blame again I think.

Have a good weekend everyone.

hi how are you all?

wonder if John will turn up? Still no Alan Rickman films this weekend...

your clear out sounds great nyannie, its good to feel as if you can get everything sorted out........

off on holiday on Monday....its the first time I think I have ever been away in January, so its nice to think of things ive never done before.......I still need to go and see a play at stratford upon avon, and revisit kew gardens......I must make a few more interesting things happen this year.......

And yes it is still incredible how powerful events in BB11 were and what an incredible sense of community was built up. It somehow harnesses the positive power of people, the power to do good and find the positive in things. We all like a good romance!! And people watching is so so interesting.

talking of romance did anyone see that Miley Cyrus seems to be back engaged again to liam Hemsworth? I sort of think its cute, just like a film story......she went totally off the rails for a few years....growing up and rebelling, and now she just wants to get engaged again and live with Liam. Sometimes truth really can be stranger than fiction!

And there is a new X files mini series due to be screened on C5, which Im looking forwards to, I loved the x files and the relationship between Mulder and Scully. I wonder where they plan to take it ? and what on earth is going on between Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny? They seem to be having great fun teasing the press during the promotional tour, with images of them hugging all over the place!!

Hope augusta is enjoying her skiing

Neighbour had a jewellery party so I bought a bracelet - for £10 - not bad!!!

Clear out continues. On to my 4th bag of paper for recycling.

Everything is coming out - tulips, daffs etc. Nothing will be out when I need to see colour.

Just made a bitter orange tart. Does taste better with creme fraiche though.

Best get going - o/h has just arrived home!

Nice to see you sooze. I agree with you about John and Josie. Think John has grown too much and Josie shrunk too much.

It is nice that they can speak friendly. Don't know if they will get together again - perhaps it is better they stay friends. Who knows though?
Hi all, it's been a long time!

I was perusing the JJJ thread for old-times sakes, what with CBB being on and being on the BB board. Sad news about long-term member passing, may she rest in peace.

I saw that John and Josie had been communicating on Twitter (I don't follow them, I read it on the JJJ thread), and just saw your link above.

It's good that all that nastiness is now laid to rest, although I hope it doesn't feed too much into too many peoples' fantasies about them and start all that rubbish off again. I seriously doubt they'd be interested in having a relationship just because they can now be at peace with each other - that is more of an indication that they have moved on in their lives and are content with their lot surely?

Anyhow, it's good to see them both doing well, Josie's certainly made a success of her chosen career path, John seems to have found a niche in dj'ing, is that right? I saw a track he'd posted, it does make me laugh with this modern music - they say it's by John James, but he's not the singer or the musician ... presumably he mixed the track or something?

I hope you are all well. xx

Good to see you muggins. Hope you and Laura are well.

Haven't been on for ages - family commitments and power cuts due to the storm have been wreaking havoc. Luckily we have flashlights and candles in strategic places and a generator if worst comes to worst - it will keep our fridges going.

Good to see you back augusta - we missed you.

Lights flickering so best get off.

Keep safe everyone.
