hope you arent too exhausted by the pain clinic.....

what a lovely time you must have had daydreaming in the line !!!
I did - I was really sad when he got his order (ravioli, chips and salad to take away!) No, I wasn't deliberately listening . . . well, yes I was. I'm hoping he will be in the queue next week too.

My goodness, I do sound like a sad old thing. . .

Morning all.

Thanks bblover and ellemay. So good to have memories of John.

I really don't remember that picture lover - have to agree with Lena, was the picture 'cropped'?

Still pooped from yesterday's effort. Will practice the breathing exercises again but expect that I will fall asleep again.

Well, housework calls so I will love you and leave you.

Incidentally, if anyone wants a really good read may I suggest Binocular Vision by Edith Perlman. She is an American author and only writes short stories - real art to it.

Anyway, hopefully back later.

Page two already, thanks for your effort augusta.

Sun's peeping behind the clouds today, not sure if there's enough blue sky to make a sailor a pair of trousers though, as my dear old Nan used to say.

Sorry to hear you're pooped after your day at the pain clinic nyannie, shouldn't think all that travelling is helping either.

I've found my dream house, beautiful white clapboard (always wanted to live in one of those) but do I really want to move further east along the coast to Camber Sands? Used to be one of my favourite haunts as a child, miles of sand and sea, and when I was older the sand dunes were quite handy too . The sea always felt warmer there, or as my Dad used to comment wryly 'it may have something to do with Dungeness'

Was beginning to lean more towards the Isle of Wight and it's more temperate climate, used to spend a lot of happy long weekends there when I was small as my great uncle was a crab fisherman.

OH is rapidly going off Devon and Dorset with the amount of flooding there.

Oh, decisions, decisions.

I see the shirt that isn't Johns went for a mad price. As you said elsewhere nyannie, 'a fool and his money are easy parted'.

Now you wouldn't be thinking of stalking that nice young man would you?
I have dentist next week (six month check), just know I'm going to be hit for another filling. My teeth are all on edge at the moment, wonder if it's the cold I've had?

.....I'm always good!!

Hi Ucra
Good to see you. How are things?

Lena - I went to Camber Sands during a weekend in Rye - years ago. Had a lovely time and remember the sand so white and soft. . .

Georgy - I am NOT stalking the gorgeous young man who looks like John, just hoping I bump into him again. I'm supposed to be thinking positive thoughts and this is a positive thought

I'm cooking tonight - guinea fowl - never done it before, but saw this recipe for guinea fowl with mustard coated veg. Hope it works out or there will be big bust up with other half!!!

I love my garden - dirty but beautiful with the crocuses and tulips coming up.

Agree with you georgy - ridiculous to spend that much in these tough times.

I love veg too - I've also had to put 300 ml of wine in the tray - and bacon on top. Had to take some liquid out of the potatoes - too much I think.

Well, best go and check on it. See you tomorrow everyone.

so silly but it does upset me, to think that someone might of been cheated out of this money, perhaps they didn't see john tweet, and has no idea this might not be the real deal

Great to see you Deefs.

Somehow Spring always cheers me up - new beginnings and all that. I have actually limited my tulip palatte to Princess Irene, Helmand and China Pink - all gorgeous. I put cayenne pepper on the bulbs to deter squirrels. Don't know if it helped, but there seem to be more sprouting.

I too georgy agree. I hate to see people cheated out of money. Makes me mad.

Forgot to wish everyone a good morning. Rain here but I'm not complaining - we've had over a week without any.

How are we all?

Did anyone see Poor Kids in America? I was absolutely shocked - I knew the situation was bad but not that bad. The state doesn't provide emergency accommodation or much and of course no medical care - you have to pay for everything - once unemployment benefit runs out, you've had it. I was shocked that one of the children couldn't go to school. Education is so important for social mobility. A friend of mine told me there is now a soup kitchen in my hometown - unbelievable as it is an affluent area. What an eye opener.

I wonder what social benefits you get in Australia?

Oops!

Forgot to say georgy the guinea fowl was OK although it tastes like chicken - the vegetables were terrific. Going to try them again - you toss them in a mixture of olive oil, wholegrain mustard and lemon zest (got to use the zester I got O/H for Valentine's Day) and a bit of lemon juice. Then put them in a roasting tray with some dry white wine and roast for about half an hour to 45 minutes. Celeriac and carrots were the stars.

I wonder if John does any cooking or if he still depends on Big Macs?
