Disks probably are better. The only reason I avoided them is because I used a netbook for work - just so much lighter to cart about - and no disk drive. But I use the PC and lappy much more often - a rethink required.

I briefly lurked and can see that John's tweet has indeed been taken as an admission of guilt!

Of course, you can also backup things like pictures to online backup sites, possibly even your own security system has such a facility. As a spare backup, not only backup

Hi
What kind of a spare back-up? Memory system?

Afternoon all.

I feel a little lost - what tweets from John? I really feel I'm missing something.

Gorgeous sunshine this afternoon. Spent so much at the garden centre that I got a free clematis!

That garden centre knows a good customer when it sees one But glad you benifitted

John is now using snapchat - and to prove it's him he sent pics of his Loys monkey. I don't know why he thinks we'd doubt him!
He tweeted the lady who has been so ill. He's also been sending birthday wishes to a few supporters and has an ongoing saga of hunting his missing vest - the one in his new gym picture. Jonno is prime suspect - but according to some of the tweets, it's been turning up in some very surprising places...
The tweet everyone is trying to analyse is when he seems to suggest he didn't have sex for six months starting when BB ended But I think a lot of people just don't get that he loves a good wind-up

Edit - just saw over in the CT that you saw the wind-up tweet - so I'm teaching my grandmother to suck eggs here!

Morning, no you aren't! I looked here before the CT. I don't understand what snapchat is - just about understand what tweeting is.

Thanks so much for the explanation. I had to read the CT a few times before I understood what was going on - think all these viruses, infections etc have caused my brain to addle.

Oh well. . .

Me to, i missed it all
call myself a JJat supporter, member

johns tweeting 3 days in a row
and some nice tweets, also

and then the big one,
you know the one i mean
looks around
shhhh the no sex thing
well for what its worth
i think he went there a couple of time
early in the relationship
and then his Do da shriveled up
got sick, very nearly dropped off and died
it only got resuscitated when he landed back
in Australia

But it so lovely, to have him back,
my twitter timeline is very funny and lovely
when he is around

by the way jjat

this picking on lawns
hasn't gone unnoticed
mines lovely
when the crows leave it alone
not a weed insight
lush green
and with stripes

now i need some advice
how cruel would it be, if i took my husbands
crutches away
he keeps pointing with them
directing things
showing me, what i need to do

so any ideas, what do you think

I meant, backup onto disk but you can also backup onto online backup sites, but don't just rely on those

I think you should tell him he needs a proper rest, then take the crutches away, and leave him propped up on the sofa with a remote control, while you go out for a while..

Not cruel at all.
And think of it - a zimmer is more stable than crutches - and is there really much difference between using a zimmer for support and using a mower? Yeah - he can cut his own lawn!!!!
Of course that leaves you free to come and sort mine out

Take the crutches away!!! Don't let him near any intercoms and also take the pencil and paper away - last thing you want are lists of things to do - I speak from experience!

Make sure he has a flask of coffee/tea, biscuits and the newspaper and make sure you check on him 4 times a day.

My o/h was a nightmare when he was laid up for three weeks - I had lists of things to do, lists of people to call, lists of things to buy for him etc etc etc.

Thanks. Think I will stick to the disks. Wish you had been here over the weekend to help me download and put on disk my Paris photos - took me twice as long because my o/h did things he didn't explain!

Excellent suggestion! Georgy, Can you come and do mine too when you are finished with Giddykipper's?

Morning all.

How are we all? Never thought I'd say it but I was glad to wake up this morning and see some rain. I have been going out with my trusty watering can giving my garden a drink!

Now, I am on antihistimines! If I'm not better in 5 days I have to see the doctor. Honestly!

I did learn though that allergy injections are not on the National Health - too few immunologists in the country.

Morning everybody, bit damp here today.

Lovely to see you Nathalie, hope you're well.

Oh nyannie, what are we going to do with you?
Sorry to hear you're still not feeling the best, get well soon.

I see John has been tweeting quite a bit and in true John style has put the proverbial cat amongst the pigeons.

Any chance you could state clearly the exact date in August?

I've been trying to find a showerproof mac for the past hour online and it seems everyone got to them first.
M&S was the favourite but not sure I'd look that great in screaming pink. Was favouring a classic navy, but none left in my size.

Off for a scout around, back later.
Have a good day everybody.

He's a good lad
And a brilliant wind-up merchant!
You never know Frilly - you may come to appreciate him after all!
