Afternoon all

Watching Sharapova play - do wish she wouldn't make so much noise.

I am really sorry Flavia and Vincent aren't going to be involved with Strictly. Also heard Aliona is leaving but F and V will be involved with the Christmas special.

I suspect that all this tweeting between John and Josie has to do with the Autobiography Josie is going to 'write'. I think I may have said this before but I think John may have requested that he has approval over any material in the book where he is mentioned - or perhaps said something about legal action if he is mentioned. Who knows? I suspect in any case that Josie will use it in her column.

It may have been 100 years ago, but I suspect John is still litigeous and if I knew that Josie was going to write an autobiography and I would probably be mentioned, I would certainly have the lawyers on standby.

Only saw the Hi CT tweet.Which wasn't that surprising,he's such a wind up.

The only legitimate proof will be if one of them said it in actual words,no hints or anything.

It did, which is surprising.About time the new BB starts.

I'd love to, Lena, but nyannie says there are no porters at the Gare du Nord .....otherwise, wouldn't it be great?

As I'm a kind of tutor / group facilitator, my work would be other people's really, ie what people in my groups have done.

So not a lot of evidence that I do much at all really....

I'm not going to risk Quote this time Lena. We were 4 miles away from a village called Eaglesham which is about 12 miles from Glasgow. I gave it up 8 Years ago .My husband passed away 10 years ago I worked on for 2years but it became too much to keep an eye on everything and not big enough to take on management I was working with part time help except for one who was planing to move abroard with family. It just becomes a way of life we did it for more than thirty years.I was still living in the cottage we had next door untill 18 months ago I have now moved to South Ayrshire approx 36 miles away with a nice view of the sea from window. After the Pub I worked in elderly care for 7years until I decided to move here, I hurt my ankle falling in the snow and needed a break from it. Now you will all have an idea who is posting. By the way I am not Scottish I was born in Bristol and still have relations in that area.We moved to Seaton Carew in north East England when I was a baby. that is where I had my education and where I really feel I come from, when people hear me speak they often comment on my accent being from that area. the internet is an amazing thing........you can chat to people and feel as if you know them really quickly. Have you had your computer and internet connection long?

Are you looking forwards to this years BB?

I m looking forwards to Emma being the host, and I might try and watch just a few episodes.....I try hard not to get too drawn into reality TV, and don't like this aspect of myself, but.....im like this reading a book, when I start to read, I don't want to put it down and will read it intensively until its finished....

For me its things like live feed that tend to draw me in completely ......you learn all kinds of useless information from them....on Fame Academy I learnt to sing along with all the warming up exercises....and to do an exercise class with Kevin. Actually in this BB have missed a trick.....they could easily do a gym class in the mornings with the hm.

At the moment im half watching The voice, which is interesting.....

I could speculate what on earth Johns latest tweet is all about...as im totally bemused about the point of tweeting quite so publically......surely there must be a more discreet way to go about it...

but..........somehow it never seems to really clarify what on earth is really going on....and im sure we will eventually find out what it is all about......

You have had a busy life Diane. A friend of mine moved to one of the Scottish islands about 10 years ago I think - and she is from Bristol too. I used to work in Bristol and loved it.

It is nice to have you posting too.

Morning all.

Another great sunny day. Had to close the windows at 3 am this morning as I woke myself up with all my wheezing (I'm asthmatic).

Have to go to get my scan this morning and will then tackle insurance company to try to see consultant sooner. This should be fun.

Lindy - I suggested you pack light, not only because of problem at the station but because you just don't need lots of clothes - I was surprised at how informal everything was in Paris.

I wish I too could go in your suitcase, I love Paris - if I can afford it and my feet are up to it, want to go next year. Maybe drag hubby along. . .

I don't want to get drawn into the Big Brother thing again it can become too time consuming, I did read somewhere that they intend to show an hour of live feed most evenings but thats still not enough to get a true picture .Anyway John James is Mr BB for me. Just thought ,I don't think he would want that title.

Fame Academy I loved that show it was the best. The 1st one was brill but the 2nd not so good in my opinion the format was changed and less hours to view 2nd time around. I remember the last 5 left in" Fame Academy One" they were all special ,however my favourite Malachi Cush left in 5th place. My friend and I went to Belfast a few times to see him in concerts afterwards.

I enjoy The Voice but don't find it adictive, there is some exceptional talent on there I think

Afternoon everyone.....

Actually although John James would be one of my favourite contestants ....ever.....I don't think he is exactly an ultimate BB contestant The ultimate BB contestants for me are ones like Mario and Corin, or even Aaron who won....who were so clued up on the show and the whole process, people who really wanted to be on the show and to win the show....

I was never convinced that John was that worried about being on the show or winning.....which was why I couldn't ever really work out, why he had done it in the first place...

most contestants, its fairly obvious why they have done it, even if my favourite ever reason, was nush's from BB5, who openly said she had done it, to earn enough money to pay off her debts and set her up as an artist....or something similar...

It's because John clearly 'couldn't give a rip' about winning that I think he was such a good housemate - I always thought we were seeing the real man, not just a contestant who was adjusting their actions in order to win. Not that there's much wrong with that - it is a game - but I just like the honesty of those who don't take that route.

I wonder if even John knows why he wanted to be in BB - he's clearly not a wannabee celeb, he doesn't seem bothered about money, he didn't seem to want to get in to some kind of media career. Maybe he just saw it as a challenge? Or maybe he just wanted a change as his life must have been turned upside down by his family tragedy?

Whatever the reason, I'm glad he did it - he was brilliant. And to think I wrote him off as the obligatory 'eye-candy' when I watched the launch show - shows how daft it is to judge on appearance. Not that I have anything against eye-candy, but that alone isn't enough to explain why he still has a pretty loyal following 3 years later.

I shall go away now - all this thinking has addled the brain I've half fried on the beach today!

Have to agree with you giddy. Somehow I think he wanted a 'British experience'.

Well, I've had the ultrasound - and a joint injection, which I didn't expect! I now have to 'take it easy' for 48 hours - and it isn't even guaranteed to work.

My left foot is more serious. I have tears around the ankle tendon and need to see the consultant as I may need surgery - just what I need, another operation!

Anyway, trying to remain positive and keep my feet up. O/h didn't look too happy when I told him he would have to make his own coffee and his own lunch tomorrow morning!!!!

Anyway, off to 'take it easy'!

Oh nyannie, this doesn't sound good! You must be so fed up with it all . Still, as you say, looking on the positive side, you get to 'take it easy' for a bit and the injection will hopefully have some effect on the pain.
Guess if you do need an operation, it'll be good to get it done as soon as you can........a counsel of perfection, I know, as that's not always possible.
Put your feet up, read a good book...and maybe catch some rays in the garden?
Take care
