I liked his hair both Dark and blonde.....but if I had to choose one, I would have said dark.........was slightly better...more natural....

Morning all.

How are we all?

Thanks again everyone for the birthday greetings. We are actually celebrating my birthday today! Going out today and then having lunch. Spent yesterday opening cards and watching French Open final. O/H made homemade pizza (dough and everything) and we watched Poirot. Final series!

No news of John. I keep hoping for more news!

Have a good day and hope you all enjoy it.

I hope Lindy is having fun in Paris.

Hello my fellow JJater's, what happened to summer?

Been to the dentist this morning and they'd put the heating on because they were all feeling chilly!!

All done for 6 months (how did I manage that)
Now I look like this

Not been around much for the last few days so I shall go and read back.

Not a fan of the Charles/Camilla situation. Its not that I'm against remarriage at all, but in their case I feel Diana had such a raw deal and was used for one reason .

I wonder if John still has his two dogs . Am I correct in saying he had two.”

Eider ducks, how lovely. I love ducks and ducklings always look so cute.

I've been watching Springwatch (Chris Packham, my guilty pleasure)
He says nature isn't cruel, it's all a necessary part of life.

Try telling that to the dear little chick as it was grabbed from the nest and swallowed whole by a grass snake!!
At least the rest managed to flee for their lives.....

Or the two Jackdaw chicks that have survived some brutal attacks by a pair of adult intruders. Looked on the webcams this morning and the feisty pair are now almost ready to fledge.

They've done a wonderful job bringing the most amazing pictures of birds in their nests and the magical moment when the blackbird's eggs hatched and out popped this little pink blob.

Watching the webcams today, they have the most amazing live pictures of bees busy in their nest, stunning.

Hello augusta, hope you're well.

Bad news about your car but hooray, you've got a nice new one.

Yes, used to watch Chris on Really Wild with my son who was a tiddler at the time. Strapping 6 footer now!

Do you remember that white blonde punky hairdo?

Hope Lindy is having a good time in Paris.
It looked a bit blustery when I was watching the tennis final yesterday.

Hope you had a lovely birthday treat nyannie.
Did you have a good lunch?

I'm crying with laughter here.
I've just seen a trailer for a C4 programme later in the week about alien abduction......according to this woman it seems to happen most when they're eating chicken.

My advice is don't eat chicken then rofl.

Wonder if John believes in alien abduction?
I suspect not when I remember back to his conversation with Dave about werewolfs, etc.

Hi all

I have been MIA but always make a fleeting pass on DS and this thread.Breaking into the writing industry is very hard work but I am getting more confident.

Did John grow up while I was away? lol.
Nice to see his tweet.I am proud of him btw.

I am looking forward to the new show and catching up with DS and to a busy summer if it decides to come.

Welcome to all the newbies and hopefully I am will be able to join the Christmas lunch.

Nice to see you ucra.

Morning everyone - a bit dull here but that is the weather. My hometown - which is on a river - flooded and a friend's car got swept away. Thank goodness we don't have that where I live now.

Had a lovely day - shopping and a nice lunch and tomorrow we are going out for the day too. Came back and watched some tennis. Feet did hurt but in-between necessary housework I'm going to rest them. Cancelled a trip to London to rest.

No news of John I see. Wonder when we will start to hear something.

Well, hope everyone has a great day. Just got in from photographing another part of my garden. Have to get film developed now.

Lucky you, i always love going to lunch
prefer it to dinner, don,t like eating late at night
and its always so much more relaxed, a glass of wine
and then a afternoon of that mellow feeling

I,m watching a lot of cricket at the mo, and the Rugby starts a 10, Lions Tour, so no housework for me

Have a great Day

So was there something planted in the chicken to locate them easily like a little gps signal thingymyjig - or is chicken originally from another planet? It seems worth a study lol xxx

Morning nyannie, pleased to hear you had a lovely day. Good to have a rest day inbetween.

Don't know how much tennis is going to get played today.
It's pouring down here now and it's so chilly. Seriously thinking of putting on the heating.

You'll have plenty of photos to work from once you start painting. Do you have a favourite medium that you work in?

Congratulations georgy and Mr Porgy.
Be careful on that roof, it can be mighty slippy.

Maybe you can entice him down with a bottle of champagne.

Talking of roof's - I've been watching two little Herring Gull chicks wandering backwards and forwards along the roof opposite. They can go at quite a pace.

I poo pooed this to start with, but maybe I should watch just to make sure that we're not all in danger.

We had chicken curry last night, should I be worried?

I shall look at chicken's in a whole new light. I wonder if I should warn my son and his partner before they venture down to their coop?

I've been watching six little willow warbler chicks on the webcams trying to decide whether to fledge.

Parents are trying to entice them out, there's much jostling popping out to the edge and then jumping back in.

It's nice and cosy in there, not sure I'd be in a hurry to leave in this weather.

I know they all have to eat and as they say it's the food chain but it is hard not to feel a bit sad at times about their struggle for survival

I also enjoy watching Springwatch and the webcams, its marvellous what they can show us. I missed it yesterday so don't know if the 2 jackdaws are still alive or if the intruders came back for another attack and as for the babies that escaped the snake lets hope their parents can keep feeding them.

I think its odd how with birds both parents bring food for their young, but with ducks after mating the female is left alone to hatch the eggs then feed the young and defend them alone .
