morning nyannie, wouldnt it be lovely to hear some news of John soon....
never mind, busy day today , starting with a visit to the vets to have the dogs enrolled in their VIP plan, which im assuming stands for Very important Pet,....!!!!! ![]() They need their annual boosters and health care check. The vets are wonderful people, but it does feel as if you have to pay for their service, im hoping this VIP plan works out slightly cheaper. for our gold plated expensive creatures.... ![]() At least it isnt snowing or too cold today. Is there any more snow forecast? |

Never got to see the Manet, I'm afraid, due to a combination of bad weather last week, and exhaustion on my part. Also not good for my joints to be wandering around in the snow.... ![]() If you go, let me know what it's like? It had very good reviews if I remember rightly. Have a good day all

The best laid plans and all that. After all the hype and high hopes, the 2013 F1 season has endured a wet and chaotic start with torrential rain in Melbourne causing Qualifying for the 2013 Australian GP to be abandoned and the remaining two stages to be rescheduled for Sunday morning.
In truth, for all the disappointment and aggravation the rescheduling will cause, race organsiers had little choice, with too much water on track and too little light remaining. With conditions grim and wet throughout, just 20 minutes of track action were possible over two hours before FIA Race Charlie Whiting declared nature the victor of a day best forgotten. **Just a little gem about the weather in Melbourne, taken from the Sky News website......am I sad or what!** ![]()

Thanks for the weather report Lindy. I'm not sure I'd like to be on the other side of the world. I also like the change in seasons so don't think Oz is for me.
How are we all this morning? Hope your family is feeling better georgy. Just got news that there is a plan for new houses in the field next to us - developer is very clever as he is putting minimum in so he doesn't need to build any social housing. What a con! Need to do my objection letter. Anyway, have a great weekend everyone. I'm going to the Manet exhibition on Monday so will let you know. Friends have said it was terrific. |

Hi Lindy, I've spent the morning staying away from the tv and certain pages on the internet to avoid knowing the results of qualifying as I don't have Sky sports package (I refuse to pay another £100 a year for 10 live races)..... and bless your heart I've just read your post.
![]() Still it saves me from spending another hour like The Likely Lads only to discover the match was abandoned due to fog rofl ![]() ![]() There really is No Hiding Place. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwkUdnyiU5U ![]() We don't have the ESPN package for football for the same reason.....too few matches.....so I do get your drift. Have been in bed all day, totally exhausted. Just been woken up by daughter with a cup of tea and a toasted teacake, bless her

Oh I'm sorry Lena (and ucra and any others). I did remember that you were a F1 fan as I posted, but I thought if anything, you'd be interested in happenings in Melbourne. Sorry again! I'll be more careful if there's a next time

Even managed to avoid my sisters text message, who delights in trying to catch me out. ![]() Final two sessions of quali highlights are being shown at the ungodly hour of 5am tomorrow with the race live on Radio 5 live at 5.30am, but I find listening to the radio frustrating. I shall know the results before the highlights are shown in the afternoon so you're quite safe, rofl. ![]() Hope you're ok, sounds like you need a good rest.

Not sure about the new presenter though, I was rather hoping they'd give the job to Lee McKenzie, she always did a good job when Jake was away. ![]() Anyone not interested in F1 haven't got a clue what I'm wittering on about, sorry. ![]()
