Aw but Jane is just so lovely! What did you think of Faye and Artem?

Ah they were glorious and the partnership really showed in the dance. Her lines truly were exquisite and I can’t wait to see more from her.

Finally - how about John and Erin?

Wow! What is there to say? That was a dance! It was superb! It had confidence, technique, performance - it was the full package.

So, on Saturday, you had the Cha Cha Cha and you got 24! Did you enjoy yourself?

Oh I absolutely loved it, it was so much fun! It’s unbelievable how nervous I was beforehand but afterwards I had no idea why I was like that!

You sound like you enjoyed it! What dance have you got this week?

We have the Waltz!

Is training going well?

Pretty well so far, I’m feeling more confident about this than the Cha Cha Cha because it suits me slightly better

I enjoyed it, but I was so nervous! I think that’s maybe the reason it didn’t go as well as I’d hoped

How’s it going?

It’s going well so far… I think because I’m quite tall it’s hard for me to do the Jive, well Artem told me that anyway

Yeah, I struggled with the Jive when I did it!

It’s hard because our music is quite fast and it never stops - I need a rest!!

Tommy - you scored 26 for your Cha Cha Cha, how did it go?

It went very well, that’s probably the best it’s gone, admittedly!

You had wonderful comments, and 7s, from all the judges… except Craig, he gave you a 5. What did you make of that?

I suppose that’s just what Craig is like - he usually marks under the others anyway. I wasn’t expecting the score I got anyway so I was delighted

This week you have the Foxtrot, now Ian told me earlier that this is one of his best picks from this week. How is training?

I love the Foxtrot! It’s really up my street and we’re dancing to one of my favourite songs!

Let’s get dug into our couples shall we! I’ll just do a pick and mix, so let’s start with Tim and Aliona.

Well this week Tim has the Cha Cha Cha. Now if you take a look here, his basic Cha Cha steps are great, but he doesn’t seem to have the natural rhythm that it requires.

I think his rhythm’s great! Perhaps he just needs to loosen up a bit?

Yeah, right now his hips are looking very jolty and they need to be more fluid.

Right, what about Georgia and James?

This week, Georgia also has the Cha Cha Cha. Now this is kind of the opposite of what I said about Tim, Georgia has the rhythm but her confidence seems to be really letting her down. I think this might be because she is dancing away from James for the first time.

That’s a shame, I hated dancing away from you! Finally, shall we talk about Lucy and Brendan?

We shall! Lucy has the Jive this week, and as you can see here, she is going in and out of time, and as you know that is quite a big problem for the Jive. She just needs to work on keeping the energy levels up throughout the dance.

Yea, it went quite well, but Aliona got her heel stuck in her dress half way through the dance!

I heard about that, how are you darling?

I’m okay, my ankle was twisted slightly. I have an appointment with physio later today and they will check if I’m okay to dance tomorrow.

Oh dear it sounds very painful! We all hope you’ll be well enough to dance tomorrow! Speaking of tomorrow you have the Cha Cha Cha! Is training going well?

It’s going well but the routine is all over the place and we haven’t actually been able to run through it completely because of Aliona’s injury, but I’ve been training with the lovely Iveta and she’s put together a wonderful routine, I just hope I’ll be able to memorise it in time!

My goodness it sounds like your winging it!

Yep, all I’m hoping is for Aliona to be well, to learn the dance and to do the dance well tomorrow!
