It probably depends on whether Cheryl returns to the US or not. If she doesn't, Sharon will probably go over there and we'll get Mel, considering Mel B is doing America's Got Talent. If Cheryl does, we'll get Sharon. Either panel would work to be honest.

I'd think it also depends if Demi is coming back. You couldn't have Cheryl replacing Britney

Nicole Scherzinger has backed Sharon Osbourne to make a return to The X Factor this year.

The singer is expected to sign up for a second series this year, while Tulisa Contostavlos has reportedly been told that she has been axed after two years on the show.

Probably seen that Emma Willis is practically running Big Brother this year so thought it would be a good idea.

The rumours of Mel B seem to be that Nicole is still the first choice so its dependent on whether Nicole wants to return, and if she doesn't then they have Mel B lined up. It's not like Nicole is being dropped.

Having Mel B as backup means they have someone to fall back on and calls on any bluff Nicole might have about holding ITV to ransom.

Of those two, Mel B would be the better choice.

Mel B! Sharon does nothing for me

Well reports from various media outlets today pretty much confirmed Sharon returning, with the official announcement from ITV coming next week. I suspect the other judges will be confirmed then too, but it looks likely Gary and Nicole will be back. If I remember correctly, Louis was confirmed earlier this year.

Imo, they should drop Gary and take both Mel B and Sharon - I can imagine sparks flying between the two of them. Would make great TV.

This. Mel B is a gobshite but she's watchable. Sharon is probably the most obnoxious drama queen going and would ensure the whole series was about her.
