Recording finished early - HDR

I have "Doctors" set up to series record from BBCOne HD (lunch time Mon-Fri) for my wife, on my Foxsat HDR. One episode last week (Wed or Thu I think) was truncated to 20 mins (the prog is 30 mins duration) thus chopping the end off. Fridays was fine, so I thought it was a glitch. However todays ep cut off after 13 mins in a similar way. Yesterdays was still on the disk and was the correct duration, but I noticed an icon I hadn't seen before next to it in the media list, looks like a dustbin with a - sign next to it? It plays fine for the full 30 mins though. Has anyone else seen this, or can anyone suggest what happened? Thanks.

From memory it was something that was quite a common thing in the HDR’s early days but updates over the years have made it a thing of the past or the BBC have just got more reliable but yes I have heard of this before but can't remember what was the cause.

Tuesdays Doctors full programme recorded fine on HDR-1000s. Not set on Foxsat-hdr.

I deleted it from the schedule then re-programmed it. Thought it was worth a try. No problem since, probably coincidence. One thing I have noticed is occasional breakups on BBCOne HD, I'm wondering if that caused it by happening at a critical time for the recording. Signal and quality show OK, same as they always have, on both tuners.

I used to have a temporary daytime only problem with signal breakups resulting in a "no satellite signal is being received". I don't know what effect this would have had on recordings as I didn't usually have any running. Eventually traced to collared Doves thinking my LNB arm was a nice place to shelter. Solved by getting some of those thin spikey things for on window sills from a hardware shop.
