Apart from the bronze daleks this probably looks like the best of the revamps so far, shame about the hands though!

It looks great to me and I think, along with the Daleks this revamped model is probably the closest to the original. It don't get why some people are making such a fuss about the loss of the silly Lego hands and a few tufts of fur.

Hope there's also an Ice Warrior leader.

I hope they keep the lighting low! I think they worked much better in black and white.

Luckily they've made an attempt to give an element of the silly Lego hands in the new gloves, so I'm not rioting.

To be honest, it's a design that could have done with some updating. Hopefully, despite the similarities with the 60's/70's design, these Ice Warrior will come across as a genuine threat for once.
Frankly, if they can move faster than tortoise through custard, that'll be a step in the right direction. |

I thought the update would be quite radical too.

I think they look brilliant! I was never keen on the lego hands anyway!

Fur? I've been over a huge HD version of the pic, and there is no fur on show. Why are people moaning about something not shown?

Love the new look. I've always had a problem with villians who lack opposable thumbs but then rely or want to use technology that clearly requires them.

At least they haven't mucked about with the Ice Warriors much... unlike say the Silurians.

The original Ice Warriors had some fur between their armour plates. The new design doesn't. Personally I think they look better without fur but some purists aren't happy about that or the loss of the Lego hands.

Good to see they've made sure they still look like Ice Warriors, which they forgot to do when they redesigned the Cybermen for New Who.

^ Completely agree. I was furious at the lack of jumpsuits sprayed silver, cricket gloves and hiking boots

Don't worry - I've already written to the new Director General of the BBC to see what he intends to do about it.

Might need to take it higher than that. I shall begin lobbying Dave Cameron.
