All, I'm just looking for a bit of advice.

My contract with t-mobile is coming to an end and having talked to the retentions team, I will be leaving.

I really like the sony xperia z and can currently get it on o2, unlimited minutes, texts and 1gb of data for £27 pm and £20 upfront. MY concerns with this is that 1GB of data, may not be enough, but this is somewhat mitigated by o2 capping internet usage rather than charging for overuse.

Additionally, i am unsure about what the impact of Telefonica's financial difficulties will be and am uneasy over locking into a 24 month contract with them.

The other thing is I live and work in london, and having used my friends s3 on THREE, data seems to be a lot quicker than what i got on t-mobile. I've also heard that Three will be moving all customers on to 4g for free if they have capable phones.

Finally,. with the release of the htc one, and the announcement of the s4 on friday next week, i'm very tempted to wait- BUT will that £27pm deal still be available.

Wanted to hear what thoughts you guys have?

I just switched to Three, Great value! i have unlimited data, 200 mins and 5000 texts for £12.90 a month, so when Three enable 4G I can have unlimited 4G for the same price! Bargain! I use to be on t-mobile and i have noticed that the speed is faster, text also seem to send quicker, and the quality of the calls is far better on 1 bar of 3g on Three compared to t-mobile

I should have stated that Three currently have no great deals for xperia z (they all either require upfront £250+ or are £31+)
But I am hoping this changes in a couple of weeks on at least one of the s4 (doubtful), htc one or xperia z

Im an iphone guy but i do love the look of all these new phones, the z, the htc one, s4 etc, my problem with all of these (and any other android phone) is that you have never got the best phone for more than a few months until a better model comes out, thats what really gets me

Funny how people see things differently. My own attitude would be to see that as a plus in as much if if they could not honour your contract it is an opportunity for you to get out earlier.

I didn't think of it like that, but that is a good point. On the flipside however, I often go through very busy patches at work cannot afford to be without a mobile phone during that time. On the other hand if I have a bit more time on my hand, i'm more than willing to look around and sort out a new deal.

The other point is that i'm not sure what o2 data coverage is like in london/bethnal green area - can anyone advise?

Had the Sony Xperia Z yesterday - beautiful phone, really fast, easy to use, stunning screen, feels great in the hand, just the right weight, not too light not too heavy, really solid, high end feel to it too - very happy with it. I got a Nokia Lumia 920 recently - whilst thats a good phone, this is in a totally different class.

Ah it's a pity you dont want to stay with T-Mobile ; I have the Xperia Z coming tomorrow from Affordable mobiles on T-Mobile for £26 p/m - 500 mins and unlimited texts and data.

Three do seem a good network price wise too. Good luck with whatever you decide to do
