Firstly, when LTE is turned on in an area, will they improve the coverage of that area or will they just leave it and move on to new areas and then improve it in a couple of months or maybe a couple of years down the line?

Secondly, does EE have any plans to allow the call merging feature on iPhones?

Thanks in advance.

Regarding LTE coverage, based on what has happened so far, the coverage grows outwards from the area initially switched on as well as them also switching on in new areas. Take West and South Yorkshire for example. Initially it was just Leeds and Sheffield covered, but over the past few months most of West and South Yorkshire has had LTE switched on.

They establish a basic coverage of a new area and it then expands from there outwards, however areas which need extra capacity do indeed start to get more mast activated within that coverage blanket therefore boosting speed and coverage.
So it's like a triple pronged attack.. Roll out & move on, improve it outwards, fill in gaps/high usage areas.

Call merge is already supported but disabled by default. You need to ask for the free '3-way calling' add-on to be applied to your account.

Thank you for the help.

Can this be done online or do I have to call them or have it done in-store?

in-store (but they call up anyways) or by calling up. I don't see it on my account as an option to add online.

Yeah it can't be done online but can be over the phone.

This add-on is also available on T-Mobile accounts, but was never publicised anywhere so I doubt many people have it enabled. In fact, I may have joined T-Mobile many years ago had I known they supported it.
