Matt Smith's favourite moment as the Doctor
Kissing Jenna Louise Coleman. Cant say I blame him
(though personally, Karen Gillan beats JLC every time).Aside from non-kissy wissy moments, there's lots of other favourite moments with him, and I just thought this might be a nice topic for a new thread, since I've not been on here properly in a while, the new series is almost here, and 11 is by far my fave Doctor. So, your fave 11 moment? I'd say mine include his 1st scene (one of the only good bits in The End of Time), practically all of TEH, several scenes from nearly every episode in series 5 which is just brilliant (particualr favourites are the Moffatt-penned ones, the ones with Rory on board, and Vincent and the Doctor), and of course, gave us the above scene with Gillan! Also fond of a lot of series 6.1, as well as lot of his funnier moments since then, as well as when he goes to die in TWORS.

I loved Matt as the Doctor when I saw the first preview clip from The Eleventh Hour... "the engines are phasing, its gonna burn!" -- when 11 turns to Amelia and says "it's not a box... it's a time machine."
That whole sequence was just performance perfection

![]() I like the moments when he finds a new hat to wear. There is just something about the way he shows that curious excitement that a child would, all astounded and surprised finding all sorts of stuff in the dressing up corner to try on.

My favourite bit is when he answered the phone in the TARDIS and it was Churchill and he said "Hello Dear" which I thought was hilarious!

So many to choose from. It's difficult.
When the TARDIS lands in the Oval Office. All the banter with River was hilarious. Plus the bit in TBB when he's noticing things. Very Sherlock-like.

Along with facing Prisoner Zero in TEH explaining how he's foiled it's plan and ending with "Who Da Man?" Love it when he's cocky against the enemy and goes into a proper rant |

As The Beast Below came first, it should be TBB. The Big Bang can be TBiBa

My favourite thing about 11 is his enthusiasm that he has for 'cool' stuff, but my favourite Matt Smith moment would actually be him saying "Don't play games with me – don't ever, ever think you're capable of that". It's was so different to the typical personality of 11 and yet still entirely believable of the character.

I do love it when he gets a new hat as well
'it's a stetson, I wear a stetson now' (gets shot off his head) - Love his expression after that. I do love the chemistry between Matt's doctor and River, they bounce off each other so well. |

I just love all of Matt's scenes tbh, although given the choice, based purely on Matt's performance, the opening series 6 two-parter. |

Erm, Yes! Quite. It's clearly because of that it was totally obvious which TBB I was on about.
As I wasn't talking about TPO/TBB it was TBB. Don't know why anyone got confused. True fans would spot that right away.![]() Phew! I think I got away with that... |

I haven't watched DW for a while but I would say 11 working with Sarah Jane and Jo was my favourite moment of MS as Doctor.

When he tells Rory to move away from the Ganga Amy and he does. Proving that its a friendship between three people and not The Doctor and Amy +Rory.

Oh man that's difficult, 11 has just been superb and picking out a single moment is almost impossible. I'd have to say... his "good men don't need rules" line to Kovarian is probably just a hair above everything else. In one line you get everything about the character and a glimpse of what's normally hidden far beneath the surface.
I'd have to say though it's not my favourite *Matt* moment. That'd be the monologue at the end of The Big Bang to Amelia. He just looks so very, very old in that scene and it's a beautiful performance to boot. And then there's the wonderful relationship he has with Karen and Arthur that always came through on screen (especially in little blink and you'll miss it background moments. Always loved Karen copying Matt's excited run/spin to the TARDIS door at the start of The Girl Who Waited f'instance). |

On a more cheery note, I'm also very fond of the moment where he makes the "Tardis noise" in The Time of Angels.
