"Apprentice' Stuart Baggs: 'I'm unemployable"

Well they ended the "job" aspect a while ago, and made it an "investment" instead.
And yes, it has happened before. Michelle Dewberry (season 2) lasted under a year. Simon Ambrose (season 3) lasted under a year. Lee McQueen (season 4) managed nearly 2 years but also left under a cloud. Yasmina Siadatan (season 5) lasted 3 weeks. Season 6 brings us to Stella English.... |

So she's suing because she was paid £100,00 for having to do a £35,000 job. I feel her pain
She should have saved most of the money and used her free time to seek out her next job. |

Even £35K is good pay for a lackey.
She should have saved most of the money and used her free time to seek out her next job. She should have done, but if she's telling the truth, she should also get constructed dismissal money. You can't really get more constructed than "The job didn't exist in the first place, it was just advertising flimflam to promote a TV series" because the intention was not only to always let her go, but not to actually employ the winner seriously in the first place. |

It's just like any other 'reality' show. When it's over they want you out the way as they're already planning the next season! The 'prize' is usually a sham, it's only the taking part that counts. I'm only surprised she didn't sign away all her rights when she entered the show. Someone messed up there.

What a muppet, what is she hoping to achieve with this action? Is she suing because she didn't get the media career that everyone really goes on the show for?
Some jobs just don't work out, most people just accept it, put it behind them, and move on. Who will be keen to employ her now with this sort of nonsense from her on display in the press? Doesn't she understand that a non-renewed fixed term contract simply ends or have I missed something? Nobody owes you a living pet. Sometimes you have to work for it and often there are setbacks you have to overcome. Move on dear. |

A few years ago a DS Forum Member started a thread saying that Stella English was not enjoying working with Lord Sugar and was about to quit! This was long before anything had been revealed in public or in the press about her situation. This was a true first for DS!
Other FMs (myself included) did question where he had obtained this information from (you can't always believe all you read on DS, you know!) and it turned out that Stella was a good friend of his partner and she used to come round their house to visit sometimes. His information, as it turned out, was absolutely spot on. |

By making the claim she is making herself unemployable. She should have just left at the end of the year and 'bigged up' her time at Vigln and walked into another job.

Well done to her is what I say, about time Sugar and his over hyped success was questioned.

I can understand that, if you take someones job and get so much more money people are going to have it in for you, but she was moved to Youview, could of tried and made that work.

I can cope with boredom really well. And I doubt it is actually that easy to go to work every day and do nothing; I've had a taste of that and I wouldn't last a week. And what do you tell your partner or children when they ask what you did at work? How do you even look your lower-paid colleagues in the face? There's a question of pride and self-respect too. |

I'm not sure why people are having a go because she didn't like receiving £100,000 for doing very little.
I left a job once because I was being paid a managers wage, but was expected to do the equivalent of an Office Junior type role. It was a weird experience to say the least. I felt undervalued and completely uneasy at the fact that I spent most of my day doing very little. |

Yes but did you know with the regular viewers, Sugar does not come across as some sort of God? People take the pee out of him as much as anyone else.
The viewers see it and treat it as a laugh. Had you watched any of it you would see that they are all over-paid self-important jokes of business people who really couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. That's why we watch it and point out what complete T**** they are. |

I'm pretty sure that if she'd been any good, Alan Sugar would have found room for her in his organisation. She's probably not much cop, and AS decided he wanted rid of her. I watch The Apprentice and she wasn't particularly outstanding from what I remember.
A bit miffed and smelling money, she has opted to claim 'constructive dismissal' instead. Probably be able to make a few quid out of this for a while if she plays it right. |

They are there to make money and if the fanbased doesn't pick up it's onto the next show. |
