When funds allow I occasionally buy myself boxes of treats from a website selling imported American groceries. I'm having fun trying out varieties of sweets and chocolate etc. that we don't have over here. I must admit there have been a few disappointments but there have also been some amazing discoveries - the highlight of which has been Pringles Extreme Screamin' Dill Pickle flavour. They taste like the gherkins McDonalds put on their burgers, very nostalgic for me and absolutely divine!

In terms of confectionery a favourite discovery of mine has been pretzel flavour M&Ms - they taste like the crispy ones we have over here only better.

Do you have any favourites?

Yes those were surprisingly nice as were the coconut ones and peanut butter ones. The only ones I've tried and not really liked are the almond ones - they were quite bitter.

I've yet to try the dark chocolate ones but I think I'll get them next time.

Veal croquette thing from Febo in Ambsterdam. Actually everything from Febo.
Twinkie from USA.
Cutlets (like a small ball-shaped deep fried fish cake with a bit of chilli in it) and patties (small Cornish pasty-like things with spicy fish inside) from Sri Lanka.

I had a pack in San Diego. I tried to find them in a few other places when we were away but have had no luck. I have looked in three other countries and they have all the regular flavours but not these.

Twinkles are temporarily not being made at all. Production should start again in the summer. Not healthy, but delicious.

I'm mad they're not too readily available here! Or else I'd be the size of a small house. Wow, I'm surprised they're not in production, do you know why that is?

White Rabbit chewy sweets. Think they're made in China or somewhere in the Far East. They're white and lovely and creamy. You buy the 200g bags in the Chinese or Thai supermarkets.

It's maker Hostess, went bankrupt. Different foods that the company used to make, including Twinkies, have been sold to different companies.

Hostess used to make other famous brands of food, such as the ubiquitous and really good Wonder sandwich bread.

They sell these in Sainsbury's, the version in your picture and other flavours under the Phileas Fogg brand.

Edited: sorry, they sell that brand of Popchips but I haven't seen that flavour.
