On my desktop and laptop computers, I have the free version of Avira. I have just bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and am wondering if I can install Avira on that. The idea of being connected to the internet and not having virus protection is worrying to say the least. Looking through the Manual, I can see no reference to the problem.

Virus protection software gives you a false sense of security; you're better off just sticking to trusted websites and only installing software from the Play Store. If you really want some anti-virus software there are several options on Google Play.

(there is a setting on your tablet, which by default prevents software from any site other than Google Play from running on it. That makes the risk of viruses far less than on conventional PCs)
