Its a shame on their 40th anniversary tour Motorhead are not playing a couple of smaller venues i saw Phil Campbell at Norwich a few years back with his band they were awesome,i love Motorhead but in more intimate venues.
I know what you mean Rich, and also a date in Wales would have been appreciated.

If we're on about Maiden, remember the time Nicko McBrain appeared on The Sooty Show?

To this day he has a Sooty puppet on his drum kit when they play live.

If you have some tesco clubcard vouchers, the Maiden album is in the clubcard boost at the moment - I pre-ordered the deluxe edition for 7 quids worth of vouchers.

Way too cheesy, like all their music, never been a fan.

Also, do they get their lyrics from a heavy metal cliché book?

And I thought I was the only one who couldn't stand them.

I saw Halestorm last night at Koko and they did a great set.
They start off with a 5 song acoustic set, and then played Into The Wildlife all the way through and then finished up with some of their older songs.
2.25hrs in total with only a 10 min break.

Maiden have always had a Progressive element to their music, Seventh Son is a perfect example of that....

I think Halestorm are on the verge of becoming huge in this country, Arena tours can'e be too far away.

And to think the first time I saw them headlining a gig was @ The Fleece in Bristol and I doubt there were 300 there...

Yeah last night sold out in 8 hours. Ok its was at Koko so not very big but thats still impressive.
Plus they are back at the beginning of next year as part of the Carnival of Madness tour.

I've got my tickets for Cardiff. Three great bands, well worth the trip for me.

I much preferred The Final Frontier to A Matter of Life and Death - which is the only Maiden album (outside the 4 90's efforts) that I don't love.

I just caught a couple of minutes of the Download Festival, with what I assume must have been Slipknot. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Slipknot are a great band.
